Using /quit my computer crashes

I run windows 10 22h2 and have all updates as of this morning. I run the game directly not with Steam. Frequently when I quit ESO my screen freezes and ctrl-alt-del fails; it just froze on me. I have to force a restart. I run Land Warrior, Microsoft Flight Simulator, Asseto Corsa, and Assassin's Creed Shadow and they never lockup my computer.
It may still be my computer or the internet, or the Moon's alignment with Mars.
Any thoughts on what I might try to fix the crashes?
