New Green Puzzle Piece / Armor+ Icon

Correct me if I'm wrong here and if this has already been raised please just let this thread die / forum mods kill it but I haven't seen anything for it yet.

The new Green Puzzle Icon / Armor+ icon that is displayed beside of items. While its a welcomed in game addition... to me I feel like there are some things not taken into consideration for this feature and its getting in the way of addons that have been tracking these things for quite some time.

1. I have not seen anyway to disable this feature yet if you dont want to use it and just want your addons to continue doing the tracking.
2. I believe this new feature is only applied to the character you are currently logged in on? (If I am playing an alt its going to show me that I dont know it on that alt and I dont have a way of knowing if my main character knows what I have on my alt or not)

Suggestions: We should be able to turn this feature on / off so that it doesn't override / compete with addon UI and Also there needs to be some sort of options interface for this feature that allows us to select a primary character that is considered first for not having items that are on alts / things obtained while on alts that way we know if we need to bank the item (for our main / other characters), sell the item or use it on the alt.

ZOS please refer to how the CraftStore addon functions for being able to track all researched items, known motifs, recipes, furnishing patterns etc across the entire account.

Agree. I love that ZOS is adding long-requested features, but there needs to be a toggle for people who want to disable it (for instance if you use a more feature-rich addon that does the same thing but with more configurability).

Oh, and 'Provisioning' Creation Options no longer save.

I too am finding it very helpful. But I don't use any add-ons, and apparently there's at least one add-on which a lot of players are using which apparently tells them whether they've learned/acquired something on their alts as well as on the character they're logged in on, so I can see where this isn't providing them with anything they don't already have access to through the add-on(s). For players like me, who don't use add-ons and who like to learn everything on all characters, it's been a great help and is working in an ideal fashion (for me, at least). And it's very useful to see the new icon next to items in guild banks and at guild traders. I don't know if there's an easy way to let us turn it on or off in the default UI, but in the meantime maybe an add-on author could create some sort of alternate UI that hides it?

Yeah I have especially appreciated it when shopping at guild traders. I can see why some might not want or need it though, if you use addons or if you aren’t a crafter. Options are always good.

Except when it's wrong. Had one the other day - the item card clearly showed "Collected" but it still had the green icon on it. Maybe they could have made the "Not collected" text on the item card green instead of adding the icon? (Same as motifs have the green "Use to add to your library" text.)
