Confused why is Sub Classing darkened out and telling me i need to do a quest

I worked 3 new characters up to 50 level and opened up those skill lines. Am I forced to do a quest now??? I am super confused...

When i went to do the quest it offers me 3 classes i have no interest in.??? I already leveled what i wanted to use...

The quest is literally just talking to an NPC and picking a couple of skill lines to subclass into for free. It takes about 1 minute to complete, and you get a free skill respec scroll from it.
