When you are at level 40, you are only half way there.

I've always felt the last few levels were a real slog, this shows why.

Levelling to 50 in ESO is such a breeze that I don’t know what you are doing if it is a slog. Just pop some scrolls, do some dungeons or PvP no need to do the zombie dolmen runs. This is just a beginning of getting character up to snuff anyway.

In contrast I play LOTRO since years and my highest level character is not even halfway through the story

A week of chill, relaxing levelling called slog is just making me laugh at this point

Leveling a new toon to 50 is extremely fast here. You should see the curve to 99 in Runescape. And in Runescape those levels actually matter for starting quests and participating in activities.

Leveling 1-50 can be super easy and quick with a little help - level up Alchemy, Enchant and Provisioning to 50 and then do crafting writs. You can get there in a couple hours during 2x exp event.

Leveling to cp3600 on the other hand....going from cp10 to cp3600 is 2,207,742,663 exp, nearly 787x as much as getting from 1 to 50.
    PC-NA : 19 Khajiit and 1 Fishy-cat with fluffy delusions. cp3600

I just provided information. I didn't say anything about the difficulty or lack thereof.

It was mostly to help people grinding up a character to understand how they will spend half of their time between level 40 and 50.

This is not accurate. Yes, 50% of the XP is earned after level 40, but XP is also scaled, so everything you do gives you more as you level up. So you can't equate time spend to the cumulative, nominal amount of XP.

I guess what this chart doesn't show is that your XP gained from certain activities increases as you level. 1000 xp at 49 is not the same as 1000xp at level 1.

Dont matters after cp1350. Unless green tree tho. Just adding

Maybe. This event, I'm watching videos and doing mindless dolmen grind. I know its not optimum, but it takes zero brian power.

The XP gain from each dolmen has been the same from lvl 20 to 40. Maybe some things scale, but I'm not seeing more from the dolmens as I level up.

I feel like dolmens take Forever after lvl 25+. I usually just do dungeons after that, less boring

I found that when you do a random dungeon, get the quest, and have a 150% experience scroll, that each dungeon gives 2-3 levels. That is definitely one of the easiest way to do it.

Note that XP gained is also levleled, you get way more xp for the same task at level 40 than 10.
Random dungeons is an good excample as they tell you how much xp you get.
But yes xp gained dont keep up with xp needed for next level so its slower as you level up.
Grinding just make you go in circles.
Asking ZoS for nerfs is as stupid as asking for close air support from the death star.

Its true. When I was around lvl 26-30, the dolmens were giving 10K. Now at level 45, they are giving 13K, but not enough to offset the increase in xp per level.

To complete this table, someone would have to run dungeons and dolmens and track how much xp they give at each level. It may be that all xp granted scales in the same way.

That said, random normal dungeons, even without the daily double for the first one, totally destroys the dolmen grind for experience. That is how it should be. The dolmen grind got unbearable around level 40. However, the dolmens did give enough jewelry to get jc level to around 20.

Better than 92 being the halfway point to 99... Right?

By the end of the first year, I still hadn't hit VR12 on any character. My Arcanist, whom I ran through base game content, hit 50 at some point in Stormhold.

So, seriously, there's nothing to complain about here. Leveling is so fast now you don't even have a chance to actually learn how your character works as you do so anymore.
