Please give us an option to revert the changes. I hope someone will make an addon to revert this mess.
PS: I've found an addon to fix the problem https://esoui.com/downloads/info4130-Pre101046UI.html
... 1Gb addon ...
I know you want to use this as an argument against the new UI, because an add-on of this size can't be considered an alternative. That's why you might say, "Shush," to me when I say that the add-on to restore the old UI is no longer 1 GB in size.
However, I must clarify that the latest version from https://www.esoui.com/downloads/info4130-Pre101046UI.html on ESOUI.COM is "only" 31 MB in size when downloaded. Unpacked on your hard drive, it's about 132 MB. Furthermore, it's now available for download via Minion.

Found it? Congratulations! ... You haven't read the other forum posts, have you? Last time we mentioned this add-on, but it's been mentioned many times before:... 1Gb addon ...

To be fair this thread is 12 pages long, maybe he doesn't want to read all that.

Everyone is very different in what they prefer and like. Some people like certain textures, others like base game looks, others like a ton of info, etc.
What SHOULD have been done is they should've simply created a more organized UI section in the settings menu and ADDED a variety of new options including textures, attribute bar placement, a minimap, etc.
Anything that is kinda forced on everyone ends up making at least one group very unhappy and not really affecting the rest. Something that's supposed to be a positive modernization ends up being something heavily disliked. I can't see how this stuff isn't made to be optional. It doesn't make sense. Is it the end of the world? No. But, the implementation is just sloppy for lack of better wording.
Add optional things to the settings and allow your players to customize.

This is the best idea I’ve heard about how all of this should have been handled. 😊
Side note: I personally don't believe that a UI we don't like can be a reason sufficient to leave a game.

I'm good with the cleaner tighter look (although I'm also good with the original) and I really like the icon telling me if it's part of my collection. Now if only this could also work based on another character (so I can quickly see if my crafter already has a recipe instead of my current character it'll be perfect).
I'm still missing a lot of info which I would consider quite basic. Even a mini-map still needs an addon. And the only decent achievement tracker addon (Wykkyd Achievement Tracker) is broken nowadays since 43 (honestly it held up surprisingly long without updates). If only they would've added features like that natively.
The only thing I really hate is the shadow behind the group section. But since I rarely join groups and now have permanent summons on al my chars (long live subclassing) I'm using the pet health bar addon again and I just went and installed the fork with companion support and a second addon that disables the regular group section. That fits more with the new interface than the real interface (and for the lovers of the old interface, the addon has an option to match Zenimax's style as well which I suspect will match if you use that old-interface addon (without it matches the new bars)).
I mean common, this looks much better. Why we can't have proper pet health bars without addons is beyond me anyways. You get skills to heal them, but no health bar to see if and when they need healing.
Can I please have the names of these pet and companion addons?

Due to the size it will not be published to esoui; that is also probably a reason the devs did not have an option to revert in the game since the goal was to trim file sizes. Unzipped folder size is roughly 1.2gigs.

Installation is the same as you would install any other addon. Unzip file, move the folderPre101046UIinto the addon directory. So,
the path would be\Elder Scrolls Online\live\AddOns\Pre101046UInot\Elder Scrolls Online\live\AddOns\Pre101046UI-v2\Pre101046UI

The UI style change only affects PC players (as mentioned in the title of the thread), console UI remains the same as has been pre-U46.
