What would make IC more appealing to pvp in: One idea, To Emp you have to hold parts of IC also.

Guildies were discussing last night some ways to make IC more attractive or at least get more people to play there. It was brought up that unless you are farming there really is no reason to go there as there are no campaigns or anything really for holding parts of it or all of it that are worth the time. Some actual physical rewards would be nice for holding all six zones for let's say 30 minutes would be interesting. Or a weekly campaign. One idea that was brought up that would draw players would be to tie in IC objectives to some Cyrodill objectives like Emp. Add some routes to IC along with that and ways to get there from Cyrodill(I guess there used to be bridges, to zone into IC?). Maybe a keep that you port in to IC to but something you can go in and out of easily into IC unlike the current home bases.

I mean really what is there to lose by trying something new, the zone is dead pretty much except during events. The zone itself is well designed but IMO just not enough actual reasons to go there for the majority of players.

Any other ideas from fellow Pvpers?

Something needs to be done, but I don't think making Emperor part of IC or tying Cyrodiil campaign outcomes to IC. Its bad enough to deal with certain nuisance groups in Cyrodiil who only exist to camp one keep or farm outposts, I don't need to encourage more of that in a much tighter zone.

Someone on another thread suggested making IC a Vengeance zone. That might actually work, and it would keep the devs from further messing up Cyrodiil

IC was directly tied to Cyrodiil faction performance at launch, and it proved awkward and unpopular. While not directly tied to emperor, holding all the circle keeps would make it extremely difficult for opponents to even enter IC at all.

Yeah, I probably wouldn't be able to go to the Imperial City at all most of the time if my alliance were required to hold all six of the "Ring Around Rumare" keeps. Plus, now that the Imperial City campaigns are separate from the Cyrodiil campaigns, how would that idea even work-- that is, what would the specific details be for how it would work?

NGL, I did think it was cool to go to the shores of Lake Rumare and use a sewer entrance to get into the Imperial City. But the current methodology is far more convenient in more ways than one.

IMO it was the implementation of it which made it awkward and unpopular because people could just log out and stay in there even after death as long as they got in once.

Had it been implemented as a 'reward' for map control / had benefits tied to outside map control it would have been better imo.

As for the EMP idea, IC isn't part of Cyrodiil and the queue isn't the same. Imagine having to queue for 60m to get back into your cyro emp because you went to defend IC or not being able to dethrone because some guys are camping in IC and you're all in the main campaign.
