This suggestion is to make an alternative route to subclassing rather than the current way it is being released to players: Sub Classing Armor Set
The 5 piece bonus of a given armor set could allow the use of 1 specific skill line from a particular class.
These 5 piece sets could be mixed in with pvp rewards or have a % chance as drops in all dungeons etc. (or some other method of in game distribution).
These ideas would create a cost/build strategy to subclassing, and add to the game because it would involve crafting, recipes, etc.
EXAMPLE:
Set Name: Power of the Ardent Flame
2. Increase health
3. Increase Critical Chance
4. Increase Wpn/Spl Damage
5. Grants the ability to Use the Dragon Knight Ardent Flame Skill Line.
(To use this bonus: Player must have a level a level 50 Dragon Knight with Ardent Flame at level 50.
Each Ardent Flame Skill and Skill morph must also be max level. <Only Craftable by Dragon Knights> (if the set is craftable, etc)
*These could be 3pc sets like Willpower, Agility, Endurance, etc.
Or - another option would be for these to be Random Monster Head/Shoulder sets/dungeon boss drops.
CLASS SKILL POTS:
Players consume 1 time use potions that grant a class ability morph for 20 seconds.
The use of the potion does not grant any of the class or skill line passives (or does grant skill line passsives, whichever)
Example: Potion of Flame Lash (Ardent Flame morph). This skill will appear in the #1 Key slot for 20 seconds and be useable by the character for the duration.
<Only Craftable by Dragon Knights>
ULTIMATE SKILL POTS:
Ultimate of Negate Magic: Absorption Field
Use of this potion casts the Sorcerer Ultimate Negate Magic: Absorption Field
<Only craftable by Sorcerers>
SUBCLASS GOLD FOOD/drink.
Consuming the Food grants the use of a class skill line and passives for 2 hours.
(lvl 50 / skill max requirement like the 5pc requirement above)
SUBCLASS Mundus Stone: (Requires adding new Mundus to the world).
Using the particular Mundus grants the use of a class skill line.
****For a player to use 2 Subclass skill lines, they would have to combine 2 armor sets, etc.
Armor sets, Potions, etc. would add to other parts of the game such as crafting etc - so that subclassing could reasonably be worked into the existing system. This would also perhaps make subclassing more acceptable for its' opponents because it is attached to an item such as an armor set, food, potion, etc. and part of the game world.
