Any plans to fix battleground queues? Games not starting.

I stop what I’m doing to join a battleground, only to end up waiting 5 minutes for it to end. Can we make battleground queues work like dungeon queues, where everyone has to accept before it starts?

It’s ridiculous that someone who doesn’t accept the queue only gets a 30-second to 1-minute penalty. Meanwhile, I either sit in a broken game for 5 minutes or take a 15-minute deserter debuff.

Right now, players can easily troll the queues with how it's set up. I can't even entirely blame them—if you get a queue while in combat, you might not even notice before it expires. There’s a lot here that really needs fixing.

It is still a problen 6 months after being flagged on PTS. They did attempt a fix to a bug that would stop the game searching for people, which I believe did work... but now if a couple people dont accept their queue in a row, there is a chance the game never starts.

IMO the solution isnt making BGs act like dungeon queues (where you would still be waiting inordinate amounts of time for everyone to accept) but instead revert the change they made in update 44 and let battlegrounds start without full teams like they used to.

We no longer get games with only 1 person on a team like in 4v4v4, and i think most people would infinitely prefer playing at a slight disadvantage until the game fills, rather than wasting hours of our lives and game time hanging out in a spawn point.

Battlegrounds overhaul was a flop. No other way to say it. This wasn't an issue when BGs were 3-Team Format. 2-Team format is full of problems on an infrastructure level and only gets worse as you look into the matches themselves. The game wasn't ready for 2-Team format, obviously. It should have been released as extra content instead of replacing the fully functioning 3-Team format. Content stolen, dev time wasted, player agony as the result. I'm upset about it.

I enjoy the 2 team system. It feels a lot more casual. The 3 team system always felt like a game of trying to be the biggest rat possible and waiting until the other 2 teams are fighting before you 3rd party them.

I think starting 8vs6 would be okay but anything lower would just be a blowout. 8vs6 could be a blowout as well. It really needs a better queueing system though.

It's not only people not accepting the invite either...

Some people just don't receive an invite: We queue as groups for BGs and we're all sat around doing nothing ingame while we wait (just chatting on voice, so we don't miss the queue pop) ---- then most of us get the invite to join the BG, and someone in the groups says, "Oh no, I didn't get an invite!?!" -- Then the rest of us have to just site in the BG knowing we just have to wait out the timer for an incomplete team!

We've tried having the person that doesn't get an invite leaving group and rejoining the queue in the hopes they'll be reselected for the BG that is now missing a person - but we all just wait until that curent BG times out, then the person who didn't get an invite to start with jumps into a new BG without the rest of their team.

Now, we just wait it out and rejoin the queue together again - but it does mean each BGs can easily take 25mins to get in, 10mins queueing, pulled in for 5mins in a duff grouping that doesn't fill, 10mins waiting again.

Someone made the mistake of pulling out of the BG once, when we knew it wasn't going to fill because of this issue -- then they got the 30mins penalty for pulling out --- so we make sure noone makes that mistake too!
