Could We Change Storm Calling's Lightning Splash?

It feels really boring to use. I wish we could see a more "Storm Calling" themed ability. Like a channel ability where we shoot lightning into the sky and periodically strike nearby enemies with a bolt of lightning. Or a cast time version that calls a bolt of lightning down on nearby enemies once you complete the cast.

Right now it might be useful in PvE, maybe? But I'm pretty sure no one enjoys using this ability, and it definitely doesn't get used in PvP.

Just my thoughts anyway.

    The issue with the skill isn't that it's "boring". The issue is that it's quite underpowered compared to AoEs other classes have, This is why sorcs don't often use it in PvE.

    Ground based AoEs are pretty bad in PvP in general btw.

    And enough with the cast time and channeled abilities. The last thing it needs is a cast time. Just go use the scribing skill with lightning damage.

    It would be really cool if one of the morphs could deal direct damage up front like DK Eruption.

    It's basically wall of elements, but worse. I disagree about a small cast time and or channeling variant, it would give room to give an ability in this skill line a lot of power and potentially be fun/unique enough to want to build around. The skill line as it is really boring despite having one of the coolest elements/themes in the game.

    I don't like DK Eruption because you can't cancel the ability channel, so it just continues to drain your magicka, but I do like that DK Eruption is a toggle ability that lasts long.

    Perhaps if they could implement a way to cancel DK Eruption, then I would be down to have Splash Lightning function similarly instead of just being a generic, underpowered version of wall of elements.
