Launcher not updating.

Today the launcher is going through update and shutting down at the end. Every restart does the same thing. It's not updating the game.

I'm not using Steam to play ESO. I went ahead and installed ESO on a new laptop and will try reinstalling this one.

Apologies, in that case, please try these steps if the reinstall does not resolve the issue.

I fixed it by downloading the installer from my account page and running it instead to install over the game. The installer updated the game without doing a full install.

Make sure you read all the other threads on this page about the launcher not updating, as there are assorted fixes, the most common seeming to be the temporary disabling of Windows Defender Run-Time Protection.
