dodge roll doesnt work after this patch

there is no point even trying to dodge roll in pvp since the recent patch unless you live next door to the server. what ever back end code that was changed to make it more responsive for players comes at a detriment to non server location based players.
This recent update has made me sad. Sad for the game. Sad for the community. Sad to pay whatever it is now. I want the previous eso back.
