Getting Rid of the 2-6 second freezes

after trying alot the final solution for me to get rid of the freezes was:

Creating a shortcut to the eso.exe wich is located in my case
C:\Program Files (x86)\Zenimax Online\The Elder Scrolls Online EU\game\client\eso.exe
After creating the shortcut make sure to check Admin privileges (without it didn't work for me)
Now you should have a freeze free TESO if you had the same problems that i had.

Fix Nr.2 : (just from another User Help Thread)

Freez problem was solved by some players in beta forum (witch was wiped recently)
In short:
you need to go to

Location: ...\Documents\Elder Scrolls Online\live\
or if you are on EU server /liveeu
File: UserSettings.txt

Search: SET RequestedNumThreads "-1" and change it to: SET RequestedNumThreads "0"

And thats it.
Hope that helps B)

Fix Nr. 3: (also stated in another thread)

Setting the process priority of eso.exe to high

start Your Task-Manager ---> Open up Process Tab ----> make sure to chek the box on the buttom left (Show Processes of all users)---> right click eso.exe --->
Set Priority ---> High

You should be able to just modify the original ESO.EXE permissions to run it as Admin, without the need for a shortcut

This worked for me. (the new shortcut and run as admin) Thank you so much! <3 I've been freezing every 3-4 mins since beta. You are the best! :)

Thank you dude, I think this fixed my lag issues.

Edit: Nvm the freezing started again after I changed zones. :(

Not sure what that actually did but it seemed to have resolved my issues thus far too. Thanks

These may fix performance related freezes which still seems unlikely for me. But the real problem is, still there is no way to fix connection related freezes. Zenimax should take care of it immediately.

Saying giving administrator permissions will address lag spikes in game is loltastic - If the administrator permissions were relevant the game simply wouldn't launch due to lack of .....wait for it......administrative permissions! Sounds like somebody got a nice dose of placebo.
Do you mind? I'm busy doing the fishstick. It's a VERY delicate state of mind...

    I had the same problems.

At first I thought the game was reading textures from HDD but checking the windows performance monitor I saw it was no network lag nor hard drive access but 100% CPU use from time to time.

In the end I found the culprit for me: the launcher.

Just alt + tab and close the launcher. No more freezing.

I hope some of you can solve yours with this simple trick

Lol I closed launcher, changed zones, same as you, ITS BACK!! :(

did FIX #2 - editing thread something something, not sure if its fixed but no drops since, and cpu usage not spitting everywhere,

    Update #3:
Still working and I transferred zones already. I'm curious though what this does? Does it increase my CPU temperature/workload etc.

Changed it back to -1 for fear that I might break something. Just immediately close launcher after clicking play

This is likely happening because you need a better video card.
