Food description with "akin another player"

Hello All

Sorry if my question is stupid, but when the description of a food effect has the precision "...akin another player...", what does it mean exactly? That if I'm solo, I get no benefit from the food, or is it a scaling in % based on amount of players around, with an existing - minimum - benefit for the case 0 players around (meaning, even if solo, I get a benefit)?

Are you talking about the food that buffs fishing? Fishing chances increase the more people are at the fishing hole. The food buffs your chances as if there was one other person at the hole with you.

Yes, it's not the only one, but that fishing food was my main point. So even if I'm solo, it brings a bit something? That's good. Thank you.
