Everlasting Sweep - the best way to use it?

Hello,

This is an awesome Ultimate, because it is so cheap, BUT it does not do a lot of damage.
What is the best way to maximize my damage with it?

I equipped Deadly Strike:

(5 items) Increase the damage your damage over time and channeled attacks do by 15%.

I am assuming the it is affected by Deadly because additional 1161 Physical Damage every 2 seconds for 10 seconds.
But is also close and personal

Thoughts how best to effectively use it?

I prefer Crescent Sweep over Everlasting Sweep on my Stamplar for the burst. The goal with Templar is to get the target to execute range so you can Radiant Glory / Oppression them.

Deadly Strike is a great choice as it buffs Biting Jabs, Radiant Glory / Oppression, and the DoT portion of Crescent / Everlasting Sweep.

Another option is to buff AOE damage, with sets such as Dagon's Dominion. IIRC while Crescent / Everlasting Sweep is an AOE attack, the DoT is applied per target and is not considered an AOE, so just keep that in mind.

I'll also note that Order's Wrath works really well with Templar because the class has good crit mechanics. I also found OW to be useful as it can make your Rune Focus ticks crit on either bar, and it boosts passive sustain.
