Wrong style page drop PanTamriel

I'm doing some boss farm in Summerset to get Evergloam and Snowhawk style page as it said the boxes gives style depending where you drop it but I got a Oaken Order and a Sovngarde Stalwart lol

I've been having the same issue. I headed to Western Skyrim because I was missing a lot of those style pages, but I got pages from High Isle and Morrowind instead. @ZOS_Kevin sorry to ping but can you confirm if the style page pool is supposed to be limited by your location (as the event announcement states) or if all the event pages dropping everywhere is intended?

Thanks for the ping! No, they are not limited to location. All the pages are in one loot pool, so it is working as intended. The list in our article was meant to highlight what you can get, rather than where you can source them from.

phrased like that this is extremely misleading - what shall "based on your location" mean then?

'Based on your location" sounds like it's not random and you get the drops from the zone you are in.

Yeah. Nothing wrong with your English. That is precisely what it states and I was actually excited that they had zoned the drops this year, so folk could to the zones for the style pages they were missing.

Would have been a great way to spread the population load and give players the best chance of getting their missing style pages while truly making it a Pan-Tamriel Event.

I guess it doesn't matter which zones I go to now. Shame.

I must admit I am shocked by this!!

I hadn't tried yet but I was totally convinced I would be able to go to the mentioned zone locations to try to collect SPECIFIC pages I am missing.

just like others said, the way it’s written it explains the drops are curated from boxes per zone, and not one big loot pool.

That being said - RNG loot pool with 15+ style items is a terrible design choice.

I suspect that the article was written correctly but the drops were coded incorrectly. The whole bit about needing to own the chapters/DLCs to fully benefit from the event (or whatever the wording was) doesn't seem to make much sense if the drops can come from anywhere rather than dropping from specific zones. So it feels like a coding error, although if it is then it's in the players' favor.

i prefer not having zoned drops…

just make everything curated , less grindy and more gameplay. no need to make things harder for a game on life support

The chances of me getting the style pages I am missing are next to nothing. I may as well just go and purchase them from a guild trader, which is not really in the spirit of what I would consider a Pan-Tamriel celebration.

The concept of the drops being zone specific was a really good one. It gave me a reason to go and visit some of the zones I'd not been to in a while, and try to get the drops on my own feet rather than just buy them. I can't understand why it wasn't put into practice.

Ah well.

This is disappointing. Seems like every event has major bugs nowadays. Not only this but the lack of curated fish too. It really puts a damper on the excitement for the event.

I don't even see this as a bug comparable to the fishing issue. In that case they pretty quickly acknowledged there was an error in implementation and hotfixed it today to work as described. It's disappointing that bug made it live, but it's reportedly been fixed now and we still have the vast majority of the event left. This zone curation issue is a fundamental incompatibility between the description of the event and its coding, made worse by the devs saying that it isn't meant to work as described in the article but also saying that the article is still somehow accurate. Those two things can't both be true, and there's no acknowledgment of that or of the frustration caused by it.

Yes, according to the news announcement, which seems to correspond to what I saw in game.

There are two places where the announcement talks about style pages being based on location.

The first is for drops from reward boxes:



The second is for the stock sold by Philius:



In other words, the article says that the dropped style pages will match the styles sold by Philius in that zone. (The differences are that the reward box list uses zone names, while Philius's list uses the cities where he is located, and Philius also sells fragments like the Voriplasm which do not drop in boxes.) Now we're being told that it doesn't say that and that style page drops are uncurated by location, despite this list, whereas Philius's stock does seem to be curated as described.

^This. I would like to know this too. I got one event outfit style page yesterday, then bought 2 from the impresario today, then had a duplicate one drop just after that. So it seems those aren't curated, which is a bit disappointing?

Style pages aren't meant to be curated within the same set based on what you already have. The curation described in the article is between styles based on location. So if you get your box from a Necrom zone, it should have a chance to contain an Apocrypha Expedition page, but not one of the others listed under other zones. It isn't guaranteed to be an Apocrypha Expedition page you don't already have. (That's also why it says "random reward" in the header for the style pages. They are random within that location pool.)

The new event pages sold by the Impresario and simultaneously dropped by golden event coffers have never been curated, as far as I know. I always wait until near the end of an event to buy any missing pages from her, to try to avoid duplicates-- unless I plan to give away or trade any unbound duplicates that drop after I've bought the bound versions.

Getting ANY Apocraypha Expedition pages would be nice. But (and this is my exp only) Having farmed the bosses in Necrom and getting multiple box's. The only pages I got, were from non Necrom events.
So the only way to be sure that I get them it seems, is to spend real money on them.. Or farm the Guild Kiosks (which I am in more favor of).

I was not hoping for curated drops, but drops none the less in the stated zones.

Well, you could "celebrate" by buying your style pages from guild traders in all the different zones of Tamriel, I guess

This event has fallen a bit flat for me tbh. I got my Master Fisher achievement and missing anniversary weapon styles today. My other goals for the event were getting the gryphon pet, Claw Dance outfit pages and my 2 last Saarthal Scholar pages. No point in buying those 'til the end of the event when the prices drop. So what do I do in the meantime?

I guess I'll just carry on fishing, and sell any perfect roe I get to fund my style page shopping spree...

True, one was an acknowledged bug and another could either be a bug or a miscommunication. However to me it just means the event was not set up or thoroughly tested enough to ensure things were working properly. That’s the source of my disappointment. We used to have events without such errors. Things dropped and people had enough to trade and give away everyone was happy. You would think that after the Anniversary event they would have tried extra hard to knock this one out of the park.

I’m glad to hear you got the Master Fisher achievement, that gives me hope! I’m done with DC and I’m in the middle of a AD Angler achievements, then the rest required to buy the boat. As far as the rest of the event, all I need are the Glorious boxes for the new style page and event tickets. I get those each day and then go fish.

I don't know about anyone else, but I have not received a single style page in its "home" zone.

I have hundreds of maps and their leads I am working through. That's the bulk of the event for me. Gonna snag any missing bound style pages and buy the rest with tickets or gold. I'll cap off the few remaining fish I need for achieve. I won't be farming the purple boxes as so far there's hardly anything in them.

Um, can't you buy some of those with tickets from the Impresario's Assistant in the appropriate zones? That's what you can do in the meantime-- earn more tickets each day and use them to buy your missing pages.

Nah, my tickets are all earmarked for the Hourglass of Alkosh. I've decided to do what someone said above and clear out my treasure maps. I had no idea I had so many!

Uh, yeah, with how the guide was written this is very misleading and extremely disappointing. What a let down. Can we get this fixed, please? I have 90% of the loot pool and am only missing a select FEW pages. Can we please get zoned loot? Thank you.
