This is about ESC / Settings / Social / Chat Color, not typing colored chars in chat.
Is there a way to have one character's Chat Color settings duplicated on all the toons in an account?
I have 24 chars two accounts.. It is a pain to try to standarize them all with the in game.

You can use the pChat addon and configure it to copy chat tabs, their settings and colors from 1 char to others (in the pChat settings menu).
Either enable chat config sync which always copies the currently logged in character to the next, and then from there to the next.
Or you can choose in the settings to copy it from char A/B/C (Dropdown box) to your current.
