Massive lag problem [EU]

At least on EU side there is a massive latency problem that has been ongoing since last night. It effects greatly on gameplay as skills and casts are getting stuck for many seconds and other such issues. If you are waiting the maintenance day of 8th/january, please don't! It is really bad way to treat us customers. Restarting servers most likely will make this problem go away so please, do a server restart now.

Given that the problem has existed since May, I doubt a server restart will fix anything.

I just lately returned to the game from a long pause and only noticed it last night and today. Saddening to hear that the problem is more than what a simple restart would fix. I would not like to be the bringer of negative words but there really is not much positive things one could say about how they manage this game these days. I would so like to break words in private with the game directors and hear from them why they let ESO fall to such state.

The staff won't all be back at work until tomorrow, so there's no way they can do any maintenance before the 8th. Besides, this continues to be a problem that only affects some, and not all, players so it's unlikely a simple server restart would fix it - just as all the restarts and other maintenance tasks since May haven't fixed it. They can't recreate it internally, and while some of the staff have experienced it when playing on the live servers they still seem to be trying to work out what the exact issue is. They need to step up their investigations for sure, but until they know what the cause is they can't resolve it.

Pretty damn crazy for me at the moment. Managed to squeek out a battleground match for the daily and after that it was dc after dc.

Everything else works fine, speedtests, downloading something else, streaming etc etc.

XBox EU felt a little sluggish in combat today. Inattentive. Had to hit buttons twice to get skills to fire, and I'm certain my timing was not that far off. Just an anecdotal comment.
