Keyboard Disconnects

Horace-Wimp
NA PC player. I use a wireless keyboard. For the past week it seems to randomly disconnect from the game while playing. My wireless mouse does not. Has anyone run into this issue? Brand new batteries in both the keyboard and the mouse. Each has it's own dongle. ESO is the ONLY program where this happens - it does not happen with any other game or program, not even right now while I type this.

It is frustrating to login to play and not be able to move my toons at all. This does not happen 100% of the time but it has been happening the majority of the times I have logged in during the past week. It is completely random as occasionally I am able to play normally after completely exiting the game and relaunching it. Makes no sense to me.

Danke.

How experienced are you at investigating PC? There is the computer management program to check what is going on as something has happened. It would be under events, what you would do is check this at the time it happens and then go to event to see the corresponding time and you might find out what is causing the problem. My best guess is that the USB port that I was using for my keyboard has gone bad. I switch my dongles around and had the same intermittent stuttering/ staggering with my mouse. So I have blocked that USB port. Odd that it only happened while playing ESO. Since disabling that USB port and switching to another I have not had anymore issues.

Just goes to prove that NOTHING lasts forever and parts of a PC DO go bad.

    Thanx!
