When editing the ranks for the guild, it will kick you out for "spamming" makes no sense.

    Are you running any add-ons?

While the boot message’s phrasing about “spamming” may suggest that you’re sending too many messages in chat, what that actually refers to is the rate of technical “messages” that the server is receiving from your client — which includes any commands you put in (not at all limited to a chat box) and anything sent by add-ons, with or without your knowledge.

You can get kicked for “spamming” when you’re just activating skills in combat and there is a delay in the server processing commands, causing a lot of things to hit it at once. The same thing can happen with a well-behaved add-on, where its messages are usually ok but sometimes get backed up due to lag and then hit the server en masse, which results in the server dropping you. An add-on that is not behaving properly could be sending too many messages as well.
