I see a lot of people whinging about quest bugs, but seriously, if you have ever been through an mmo launch before, you would know that this is solid compared to most.

If a couple of bugs and glitches, some downtime and patches really erk you and drive you to face mash the keys, then my advice would be to give new mmo's a few weeks to straighten out before you buy them.

Early access is about exploring the world and enjoying it, not trying to get a jump start to playing yourself out of the end game and really it comes across as needy and whiney.

Send /bug so dev's can focus on what is most critical and be ready for unscheduled maintenance. With millions of lines of code being served to thousands of players, there is going to be erroneous degradation of data.

You could always use the time to learn about how game code, meshes and skins and ai works, that could be fun.

..but I digress....again, nice work ESO is a solid startup into mmo

Agreed, although having said that I'm one of the lucky ones.

I'm not missing things from my inventory or bank, no rolls backs ( /crosses fingers ) and I was at work all day while server maintenance was being carried out. Download speed of patches has been fast with an average of 12 mb/s, so It's been seamless for me.

I have prayed to the nine though, maybe that's the difference. ;)
Been here since Feb 2014 - You'd think I'd be half reasonable at this game by now...

That means that you are in the group of those lucky ones. I havent been able to login more than few hours past few days. I have seen a lot of launches and I have, most of the time, been one of those lucky ones too but that doesnt mean that there is no problems in game. They will sort out those problems in time but the way zeni gives (no) info about the downtimes/progress drives some ppl mad.

this isn't 2000, this is 2014, and its not like this games development started a year ago. This game has been in the works for nearly a decade. As broken as it is, it should not have been released yet. People have every right to complain about a broken product that they have paid for, regardless of what history has told us about MMO launches. We don't want to pay to play a game, that in all rights, is still in beta form. Its not about getting to level 50 in a few days, I for one am clearing as much content as I can in each area before moving on, but the problem is that I CANT CLEAR IT BECAUSE IT IS BROKEN, and starting tomorrow, I will be paying to bash my head against a wall of game bugs. That is not cool with me bro...if you cant understand that, then I don't know what you will. As far as I am concerned, no one should be paying a dime to play this game in its current state, and this should be considered an open BETA test with an official launch date to be announced...

I agree with the OP. Other than a few little hiccups everything has been quite solid. @Orcula, it doesn't matter if its 2014 or 2114, we are talking about something that was made by human beings. Its not going to be perfect, no MMO launch ever will be. Regardless of betas there will always be things that no one catches before release. What really matters is how dedicated the developers are in supporting the game post launch, and in this case I think they are doing a great job.

I'm also a lucky one and haven't really been affected by bugs. Lets hope they put in the overtime and iron them out in the next week, so we can all focus on the excellent and enormous amount of content in the game itself.

Your complaints honestly could be cut and pasted from the boards of any and every MMO at pretty much any point of it's lifecycle. You even see this stuff on WoW boards after a patch. Honestly dude, you kind of need to grow up. This is how the genre is. It's always going to have something going on but I'm sure you know how intricate and detailed coding is. You're so smart.

My guess is, you probably shouldn't be playing stuff that enrages you. But thanks for the laugh.

I'm not talking about minor animation glitches or some small stuff like that. I'm talking about vital npc's that do not spawn, freezing mission progressions, people accidentally logging into other peoples accounts, having the worst trading system that I have ever seen in an MMO, having your abilities freeze up so all you can do is block and run away, etc etc. I understand that coding is complex and I understand that these bugs are going to happen, but I also understand that they should be taken care of in the BETA stage and that players should be compensated for lost time due to a broken game. I have been part of launches in the past, and this one has been one of the worst, and it has had the least humble DEV. Being as broken as it is, we should be getting offered a free month instead of being forced to give CC info so we can access the month that was included with the purchase. If you and the masses are cool with and are willing to accept that players must pay to play a broken game, then there is a much bigger problem with society than with this game...

Personally I'm honestly impressed at the launch and how it's gone, I've never been apart of a launch that wasn't a disaster. Zendimax has done a very impressive job and the worst I've experienced was a few random DC's that weren't even apart of the game.
