Spattering Disjunction for a Beam Build

I'm running solo with a Beam Build using Deadly and Orders Wrath. With a Beam Build your Light Attacks are limited so you rarely get many Status Effects on your target. Would it be worth running with Spattering Disjunction for those Status Effects? Thank you in advance!

Actually you don't need to worry about missing out on light attacks triggering status effects, as they have a native 0% chance of doing this, unless you're wearing the Threads of War set from the gold road which gives them a 100% rate. If you use something like elemental blockade with an enchantment like fire or poison, or another skill like volley, those can get status effects out. I use a monster set that depends on applying status effect almost as often as I can, and Spattering Disjunction can be a good option for that. Runecarver's Blaze is another one, since the single target fire damage (that triggers once a second since the beam hits 3 times in a second) is very good for applying burns exclusively, if you're in need of status effects.

I wouldn't run this set. It has two distinct disadvantages. You cannot control which status effect will be applied. And the cooldown mechanic is irregular enough so that a good rotation around it is increasingly difficult to maintain the more non Herald of the Tome abilities you are forced to use in combat.

Additionally you have to give up a very good 5 piece bonus for something that is doubly inconsistent. ... Jikes ... 🤢

A far more elegant solution is to simply run a weapon skill on your frontbar. Deadly Cloak is the go to option for a dual wield frontbar. It will proc the status effects of your weapon's enchantments even when you are beaming. And it gives Major Evasion while active. It's META for a reason. ☝️

Just an FYI, I decided to try it out. I run a one bar beam build which is perfect for my solo activities and after beating on the poor dummy for a while, my average DPS went up by 6.7k to 7.4k. When I looked at the parses, I noticed the only difference between runs was the type of status effects which were different for each pass. Even at the worst, I still got quite a boost from this set. I think I'll keep it going for a while and see how it does in real content.

Edit: Wanted to add my Crit went down from 56.3 to 48 while my Weapon/Spell Damage went from 5630 to 5801. Perhaps this Weapon/Spell Damage was the reason I got better numbers? I'm not sure but it's fun to play with and like my Necro with his Corpseburster, I get a nice little glow, this time green.

It might be good in Infinite Archive with Serpent's Disdain. Could consistently have all DoT status effects up simultaneously and status effects are meta in Infinite Archive as long as you have right Visions.

From where would be interesting. Is it from 20k to 27k or from 120k to 127k?
48% crit chance and 5801 WD is generally considered a bit low for an Arcanist. I would bet your increase is due to status effects.
Have you measured with the Combat Metrics Addon?

Yes I used Combat Metrics and went from ... I don't have the exact numbers now ... around 54k to 61k. I use a 1-Bar Beam Build which is probably why ... other than skill ... I can't get 120k+ on the Dummy.

5 Piece Deadly, 5 Piece Spattering Disjunction, 1 Piece, Slimecraw, all with Divines and Golded out with Stam enchants on the armor, 1 Light, 1 Heavy the rest Med. I'm running DW Daggers, all gold, with 1 Nirmhoned, 1 Sharpened using Poison and Flame enchants. Of course Gold Oakensoul with Bloodthirsty and WD enchants..Food buff is from Artaeum Takeaway Broth. Mundus is the Thief.

1 Bar, Cephaliarch's Flail, Pragmatic Fatecarver, Chakram of Destiny, Recuperative Treatise, Rune of the Colorless Pool and Flawless Dawnbreaker because it comes up so often and gives the the Fighters Guild buffs.

I run solo doing Quests, Dungeons and lower Arcs in IA. Light Attack weaving is weird and ineffective so I don't bother and it's much simpler than my 2 Bar Necro which feels very awkward compared to this even though I have to move around a lot to line up Fatecarver so it hits as many MOB's as possible. All in all, I'm having a lot of fun with this and it's entertaining to pull up Combat Metrics and see all the Status Effects I have now.
