Tomatoes?

Does anyone know where to find these with any reliability? I'm lvl 37 and I haven't come across one yet. Is there an area where they are particularly available?

I have been looking for these but have not been able to find any, is very annoying since they are needed for crafting food. Same thing with Oats.

Yea I scourged the auction house of 2 big AH guilds and nada. Maybe bugged. Sucks as need em for the purple recipes I found.

At lvl 46 so far the only ones I've found came in a provisioning minion bag in the mail, after looting 46 levels worth of crates i think that the 4th item for crafting epic recipes are super rare since I've only ever seen a few of them here and there. basically making purple food less common than purple gear. Oh the irony?

Crap. I find oats quite commonly. Didn't think much of it... Didn't even loot most of them. Just good luck I guess. But as for tomatoes I have no clue but try checking around the farm areas in/near cities. Maybe it's just that simple

Each of the three factions have their own food types and for some reason the high level ones have some recipes in one faction but the food to MAKE them in another. I am guessing this is a bug but its annoying. Having a few mates in different factions swapping food and recipes gets around this, but I am guessing its a bug as its appears only for 5 recipes so far.

Perhaps in Cyrodiil? There seems to be a range of food there that doesn't spawn elsewhere.

I tried scouring Cyrodiil for tomatoes and oats for hours to no avail. Maybe if I went deep into enemy territory I would have been successful but even going somewhat close didn't yield these.

my bank got lvl5 + provisioning supplies, racial , craftinng, alchemy+ 10 spaces for trading inbetwen toons runes thinking about getting a special veteran lvl gear storage mule, got 1 storage mule for crafting +alchemie+racial

Oh, carrots are usually in Inns. They're sitting out, most of the time, on the counters.

I have only found a few good carrots.. most of the ones I see sitting out are "stale" and not cookable

Carrots are used only in those fish recipes, you know -that recipes that never make it
I kid you guys not, just checked entire esohead database -not even one recipe use carrots.

And yes -there are carrots type marked as "Ingredient" ( i even have them in game)

Both tomatoes and Oats - look to be bugged terribly and they simply missing from most zones loot tables.
Btw - tomatoes -are NOT supposed to be ultra rare -they are same rarity as Pepper, Saaz Hoops, Canis Roots and Jazbay Grapes (this + tomatoes and oats are purple tier recipe reagents)
Also first purple recipes that require tomatoes are level 30 - so there SHOULD be posssible to find them in those zones (while still rare)

So please all -/bug this in game

Anyone confirm what the grocer NPC sells? Did they make some ingredients NPC\Hireling only?

From what ive heard, they are only from the hireling. Sad. Whats the point of recipes using them?
