If I recall correctly, when skill styles were first introduced they said some would be earnable in game and some would be in the crown store. Doesn't seem like much of an escalation to me. The crown store is filled with cosmetics like this.

I can't tell from the tooltip or preview--do Aetheriusbound weapons disappear when you sheathe them, like the Gloambound weapons? I'd assume so, based on their appearance and name, but I don't want to drop that many crowns on them if I'm not certain.
