A HUG Option for Companions?

Without going in to too much detail or spilling any beans on specifics or contexts;

If we're never going to see a romance option for a companion (And i have to ask why the hell not) Can we at least get a dialog option to offer them a damn hug?
I won't say in what situation or which companions, but there are some moments in their quests where they do or say something that is a very character defining/pivotal/emotionally vested moment (Both Happy or sad) - instead of being the friend we're supposed to be for our companion, The only response to them spilling their hearts out before us is basically "Mhm, Mhm, Yup, Hmhm, So what was that thing you said a moment ago?" And it's just so damn irksome and frustrating.

I was quite amazed by the animation of the two bosmers wanting to get married in Bosmer town ( sorry forgot the name, Valshabah something ? ) in West Weald, when they hug each other at the end of the quest. It would be indeed nice to have some more interactions with companions.

I raise you: a targettable momento (like snowball/mudball) or an interactable momento/emote (like the campfire) that is a hug. This way, you wouldn’t just be able to hug companions but also other players.

this would also be an amazing memento, definitely in favor of the latter as consent is key!

This is a very cute idea and I agree that it would be great to hug other players as well (if they agreed to it, like with trading)

How is that going to work with size differences? 2 bosmer can very well hug each other, but how is a short bosmer going to hug a tall altmer for example? By embracing her legs?

It's bad enough that I get flowers thrown at me and mudballs against my will. The last thing I want is another player physically grabbing my character and rubbing against me.

Like slapping Tanlorin to hush up, or some of them rather than tanking running off. They cannot target some big mobs and derp out. We've been waiting a year on that fix.

I think this could be a really cool idea. You mention consent, you could have a global setting in the social menu that allows hugs from anyone, from guild members, from friends, or no-one. The default setting should be from friends only, but you have the choice to open it up or close it down if you want to. Similar to duel requests, ToT requests or trade requests.
Other emotes could be high fiving, dancing, hand shake, etc.
