Scalecaller Peak - Joining Encounter in Progress bug

I ran Scalecaller Peak this morning for the first time. After finishing the dungeon, I wanted to use the time before I would be removed from the instance to collect a book I'd missed. Unfortunately, I couldn't, because whenever I'd leave the final area, I'd be pulled back to join an encounter in progress, even though the boss was down, the rest of the group had left, and there was nothing happening.
