Hi, ive come back to the game a few weeks back, so i'm out of the loop a bit, are magicka wardens viable now, i remember a while back where the damage wasn't the best?

Thanks in advance.

They’re okay. Mag wardens and frostdens/brittledens are now basically the same thing. They can do decent damage (80-110k on dummy) and are fine to use in content, but they don’t have the same damage or group synergy as arcanist or dragonknight or even templar.

yeah this is pretty much it. Though to me, brittleden is a pretty useless term and it irks me every time i hear it. applying brittle wasn't ever something we were uniquely brought for. its a weird name that caught on for seemingly no reason. frostden/iceden is straight to the point.

I’ve been in guilds that have had support dps tags for brittleden, and by having a frost warden you can remove brittle responsibility from your supports. I’ve also been in at least one run where someone asked if I was doing brittle and swapped to a non-warden accordingly iirc. Brittle is now just too easy to access with people making their tanks do it using frost clench on cooldown.

Yeah. It's too easy and always has been, which is why i think its redundant to name frostden after it. To me, its frostden because it uses an ice staff. It's like if you named every arcanist build "evasionist" just because it can apply minor evasion. Dumb name.

lol, I've never even heard of brittleden! I do mostly solo play. I still like my ice warden, haven't changed her in quite awhile. Still wearing frostbite and orders. She's still does well, but mostly use her for surveys.
