Are the rewards any different for npc level?

No. The only difference I have found between levels is speed of play. Some might say there is a difference in difficulty, but I don't see a massive difference. But novice definitely plays slower than the others.

for NPCs no, theres no reward difference, a win always gives a green purse, loss white purse

the only variable reward is for the tribute NPC daily quest, which gives you a green, blue, or purple purse depending on how many wins you do
