Can someone explain the quantum physics of how doors work in cyro? People I fight get through AFTER being stunned. When I try to click a door, my character just turns and stares at it.

They activate the door. They don't go through straight away because of lag, but the command to go through is registered somewhere on the server's side. In between that and the server response, you stun them. After you stun them the server finally wakes up, sees that it's scheduled to pull the guy through the door and does so.

Friendly and enemy characters are not exactly where you think they are. It looks like it because lag. In reality, when you actually see someone get next to the door, chances are they were already spamming the door for a bit on their end.

You can pull someone up with you on a double mount and just dismount when you're sprinting to force dismount the other person, then look behind and see how big of a gap is between where you expected them to be and where they actually are.

It's also one of the reasons why the arcanist beam is useless in PvP. You have to be a far seer that transcends reality and can guess where the enemy will be in the future, as you have to aim the beam in a predictive way slightly in front of the enemy's character. Basically, towards where you think they will be 1s later.

Yeah, that makes sense. I'm no stranger to positional desync (it's always fun getting my dark deal bashed when I am ~8 meters away from someone and BEHIND them). But that doesn't explain why my character needs to admire the craftsmanship of the door for a good 2-3 seconds before deciding to walk through :D
