Not all quests are coded so that the whole party is credited for an item one member picks up. Some are, some aren't, and some completely glitch out and have to be dropped/picked up again to be fixed.

Further to that, some Wayshrines you can use by touching any part of the entire structure. While some, like the Abah's Landing one requires you to be rubbing your nose on the brazier in the centre.

    Some other inconsistencies:

    - Some notes and books (Non-Mage Guild lorebooks) can be interacted with while mounted. Some will require you to dismount.

    - Blocking will automatically skip all animations for unsheathing a weapon, while almost any other action will require you be stunned for ~1 second while you slowly unsheathe your weapons. (Yes, it's literally beneficial to start combat by tapping block to skip that stupid animation)

    - In addition to the prior thing, some abilities can be used without unsheathing your weapon at all (While many others, that it doesn't make any sense for, does require you to have unsheathed weapons. Most notably, WHY DO I HAVE TO HOLD MY STAFF TO STAB SOMEONE WITH THE BLADE OF WOE?)

    - Several companion rapport effects and their responses to things. Sharp-as-Night? Stabbing the poor to death is a-okay. Stealing from the poor is a no-no. Tanlorin? Literally has a bonus related to lockpicking. Literally is mentioned to like stealing. Doesn't like it when you steal. Isobel? Doesn't like it when you steal from a Theives Trove. Also Isobel when you steal from a Theives Trove "Buy a girl a drink from the tavern?"

    1) Why do I need to equip a weapon that contributes to my abilities damage, when the ability is purely performed without the weapon (the weapon is sent to oblivion for the duration)? Example: Necro Scythe (actually Necro everything), Templar jabs, NB bow,....and many, many more.

By far my biggest gripe with the game.

    2) Why does a 1% movement speed increase already trigger a sprint animation while the walking speed can be sped up several percent before transitioning from a brisk walk to a slow jog?

Why do Werewolves not get weapon passives? The weapon selected contributes to the set you're "wearing" but the weapon type (DW, 2H,Staff, etc. )makes no difference at all for the stat sheet. Only the glyph and trait make a difference.

Going to reverse it on you ... why do werewolves get armour bonuses when they have broken out of it while transforming? :p

There's one near the Gil-Var-delle Wayshrine in Grahtwood, too.

Sooner or later, I think the game recruits those unkillable monkeys, elongates them, shaves them and shoves them into armour after teaching them to say "STOP RIGHT THERE CRIMINAL SCUM!" prior to deployment as law enforcement in some town or other.

Another wayshrine inconsistency - most you can discover on passing by in fairly close proximity, but the one in Alinor doesn't register as discovered until you've mounted it.

Many things, mostly hidden stats and skill mechanics:

Flurry does not have the same status chance as other direct damage abilities (10%) and instead has it lowered to about 3% with nothing in game letting you know about this exception.

Active vs slotted abilities and passives. Just make all abilities "active" or "slotted on either bar" for the sake of passives and effects, this would make the game so much more intuitive and easier to get in to as a new player.

Enemy resistances and weapon/spell damage vary wildly regardless of their difficulty rating. The arenas for example have mixed resistances ranging from overland to veteran dungeons with one or two values between. Again, nothing in the game will let you know what those values are so that you can know how much penetration you actually need; The only way to find out is to use Berserker Strike on every enemy and quickly do the math in the character sheet. Currently I think it is impossible to know how much weapon/spell damage enemies have but reducing it does have a noticeable effect in certain PvE situations so it is definitely there.

Elemental Susceptibility does not have a cost, just why.

My vote is an inconsistency within the combat system. I don't know if this really counts as an "inconsistency" considering what others in the thread have said, but they hybridised like half the game and then just left the other half alone. This has caused some skills and sets to be wildly outdated their use and still haven't been reworked when others have been.

For an example, there are some skills for example that have an inconsistency where they give a buff on both bars for just having it slotted once (such as Flames of Oblivion) where other skills require double barring (such as Expert Hunter and morphs) or require the use of a GCD to maintain the buff (such as Momentum and morphs.)

When we use the bank or a crafting station, the volume of all sound effects is automatically reduced, except for the unbearably annoying noise of all flying pets (similar to Eyebright Raven) flapping its wings.

I've reported this many times. I really hope it gets fixed one day.

Sprinting with bow. Sometimes it uses a special sprint animation where you hold your bow steadily but sometimes it uses general no-weapon animation with the bow glued to the hand swinging it like a maniac.

    1. Personal distance of assistants when you interact with them.
When you use most of them you stay in a normal distance, like while talking to NPCs, or people in real life, but when you use Giladil the Ragpicker - you run to her and hit her mouth with your head.

    2. Jewelry crafting writs - after the overhaul you don't earn enought platinium ounces from doing them, to do them (even with gathering all the surveys you recieve)(currently have 10k materials for other crafting writs in bag, hundreds of surveys from woodworking, blacksmithing, clothier, alchemy, enchanting, and 1 survey from jewelry because I have to do them whenever they appear and it is still not enough).

Mounts that are incapable of passing through large arches or traversing six inches of water without disappearing.

Rivers that are six inches deep and four feet wide in places, and yet have full size ships anchored upriver.

Non-removable red glows that do not follow the contours of weapons.

Holy templars forced to stab and sweep with a wooden vampire staff.

Bosmer NPCs are stealthy, but Bosmer players are the least stealthy race in the ESO version of Tamriel.

NPCs that gave their lives to save Tamriel inexplicably reappear to lead you on new adventures without explanation.

    And the list goes on...
    RIP Bosmer Nation. 4/4/14 - 2/25/19.
