Show Off Your Zerith-Var and Tanlorin! (Please no spoilers)

I haven't unlocked Tanlorin yet as I usually like to do the quests one at a time. But here's my Zerith-Var.

With the companions, unless I have a separate headcanon for them, I try and give them outfits that make sense for their design and background. One of my favorite aspects of companions is dressing them up.

I gave Zerith-var the beautiful Pellitine style mostly, a mix of light and medium, with brown leather and black and white colors on the cloth, since I think black/white suits the Hidden Moon thing well. I might change the white to a light blue



edit: I did end up changing the white to a muted blue, I think it works much better since his body is already white





I'm headcanoning Tanlorin as a rogue mage who specializes in mysticism on account of their abilities. I tried playing into that as well as make a consistent motif with their tattoos using the psijic psion robe and psijic staff (the eyes/eye shaped symbols). I went with black for them since their hair and eyes are awkward to work around with color. More purple is just too much, for example.

Haven't really done much yet. Just put Zarith in necromancer armor and Tam in Mag/ Guild robes.

Had to give Zerith new armor after I earned his token.

I went with the Skingrad Vedette outfit style. But substituted the belt with Shardborn because the Vedette belt didn't work for me. I also gave him the Whispers of Sithis sword and board (didn't screenshot it oops) because the Skele on the shield matches the Necro theme even if he's all about Azura.

I'm still workshopping Tanlorin while I decide which route I want to go with them.

body line more natural. Use same theme color like her hair style.

i made an outfit for them, but Tanlorin was wearing Jakarn's Ensemble in their intro quest and looked awesome.


Tanlorin's outfit is:
- Second Seed Raiment Shoulder.
- Drowned Mariner Jack.
- Drowned Mariner Bracers.
- Drowned Mariner Belt.
- Welkynar Breeches.
- Arkthzand Armory Boots.

Zerith-Var, made him sort of a brawler/cage-fighter type. This seems to suit him well.

Tanlorin just had to match with her hair.



Both are specced as tank, with a one hander + shield.

PS: Companion houseguests should really be able to wear the outfits we give them!

When Azure Eyes first was released in the Celestial Crown Crates in December 2021, it gave my vampires a way to escape the stigma of Molag Bal - in my head canon for them they became pledged to Azura and have been devoted to that Daedric Prince ever since, with the glowing blue eyes to show it. So Zerith-var just seemed made to be taken in by them.

I have to say he's my favorite companion so far for his story and his comments. And depending on how you set up his skills, it can really feel like you are fighting alongside a necromancer!

PS. Please ignore the glowing red break lights on my character, I should have removed Grim Focus before I took this picture.

For Tanlorin, I know this isn't very creative but I like the look of the medium armor that they came with so much that even though they're now wearing heavy I recreated the medium armor look as an outfit. The shade of purple isn't exactly right. I did the same thing with Azandar. Maybe someday I'll try a different look, but for now I'm very happy with this one! I did try a gold look for the metal parts for awhile but ended up going back to silver, and I chose an Evergloom weapon to give the feel that their weapon is connected to their peculiar style of soul magic.

I based the colors of their outfits on the armor they wear, but with Zerith I went with a casual look while Tan's is more adventuring aligned.
