What a waste of 20 bucks, no singing , no jokes. He comes out and plays 1 tune on the lute & he does it badly. Been here off & and on since closed beta, & it's the first time I've felt cheated.
Now I know why there's no preview.

He actually has about 10+ lines/actions. They are random. Totally worth it. The only bug I've ever seen related to this item was a few years ago, where regardless of the direction the portal was facing, he would always appear facing south IIRC.

While I would never suggest whether someone buys a product or not from the crown store, because opinions do vary.. I passed on this a couple of times now.

My hangup with it is that Cadwell isn't a houseguest, nor is the furnishing a toggle. It's an empty platform that can't be decorated in any way, and when you interact with it Cadwell appears for a few moments then poofs away. And iirc, there aren't more than a couple of actual lines, but instead has a few different animations (like dribling a soccer ball for a while then fade away). Perhaps I mis-remember, and there are lines of dialog for each animation, but if so they didn't leave enough of an impact for me to recall.

Unfortunately there's no Preview available for it in the crown store. I waited to pass judgement until I found somebody else that had it in one of their houses so I could kick the tires a bit myself.

He was pretty much the first house guest before house guests became a real thing. Would probably be best if they just converted him into an actual house guest.

He has multiple animations, I bought him the first time he was available. Just keep activating him, I think it's 3-4 different ones. One of which is citing a very short play, if I'm not mistaken. Another was soccer, another was him being confused and portalling out.

Haven't checked him in a while though, but I loved him when he came out.

PS: My home is on home tours, and contains him. Maybe other playerhomes have him on hometours too, just find him somewhere and check him out to see if you like him.

I think it's a pity we have to actively search for previews somewhere else (in many cases, also when it comes to assistant voice lines) - and have to be lucky enough that someone made one - , but in this case there's something on Youtube at least:

Maybe ZOS should add a furnishing where that Dremora or those assorted mages step out of a portal, say "We have arrived at such-and-such! Oh, wait, no we haven't. Aargh!", then turn around and leave. I think a lot of zones have random encounters like that, so maybe the furnishing could alternate between several different ones, so it isn't always the same one saying the same thing.
