Verith-Var Beggars?

Has anyone had any luck with the ‘donate to a beggar’ achievement for zerith-Var?

Surely, if this is specifically a ‘give to the poor’ achievements action then it should say in the description?

If you converse with any of the beggars in towns (where you can give them gold) it doesn’t see, to count, which is odd, as theirs no clarify to distinguish between donations.

I found one at one of the Give to the Poor locations, even on a character who had already completed all of those random encounter achievements.

It was somewhere around the tenth spawn point I checked. The previous spots had all been empty.

I had read about the couple under the bridge in Davon’s Watch, but for me they had no option to give money.

It is to do with the same random encounters used for the "Give to the poor" achievement.

Or, something like a particular beggar under the bridge in Davon's Watch which you can give gold to. There may be other specific sources that count towards the achievement for Zerith.

I ran in circles around Greenshade until one of them finally spawned.

It’d be really useful if the achievement description stated that the beggars to donate to are those as per ‘give to the poor’ (or some such wording).

Else the description is very amateur and vague.

I searched for the entire list of spawn points, wasted 3 hours jumping from one to the other in whole Tamriel (I don't have the "give to the poor achievement").
I gave up, ate lunch, logged back in - first place I tried I found it.

So, maybe give up if you are not finding any and try at a different time.

should be easier to do now that those random spawns are not competing with event spawns which take up the same location as the give to the poor spawns

it took me like almost an hour and half of jumping between points close to wayshrines because it kept spawning the event random spawns at the locations

i actually had quite a few things spawn at the locations i checked, but during the event it was like 80% chance it was an event one and not an achievement one

i have my main house (grand topal hideaway) listed in the housing tours, it has multiple target dummies, scribing altar, and grandmaster stations (in progress being filled out), as well as almost every antiquity furnishing on display to preview them

I am not sure, but I think there might be cooldown. Once you get any encounter, all of them go on cooldown.
I'd suggest look up couple of spots close to wayshrine/each other, and just check them from time to time until you get any of the encounters, then forget about them for idk... an hour?
Again, I'm not sure if cooldown really exist even, I was not doing these random encounter for long enough time, but this it how it felt.

this doesnt work, at least it wasnt an option for me

i had to find a give to the poor beggar to get it to trigger because this NPC had no interaction options for me

What a pity that dialogue option disappears as soon as the character has done it once, otherwise that would be the easiest solution.

In this interactive map you can check the possible locations thru Tamriel. Select the zone and turn on the filter.

Have you tried doing it with an alt? That's where I got it, and I've talked to them on a different character before.

I know it is available to alts (or was, the last time I tried), so that might work for some people. I don't have any alts left for that though (and I don't unlock every companion on every alt either), so I'll have to hope for the random encounter.

the one alt i unlocked the companion on could not talk to that guy either

theres no way im bothering running through that intro again just to finish that

it was easier for me to just port around until i got a give to the poor beggar

Can anyone clarify how the achievement completion relates to finding a beggar? Specifically: I haven't completed the whole achievement, but have some zone checked off. If the zone is checked off the list, does that mean I can't get a beggar to spawn again in that zone? Do I need to stick only to zones that aren't completed in my achievement?

The beggars are simply random encounters. They happen regardless of the state of your achievement.

At any time, each location has a chance to be one of the events that have achievements - A beggar, a merchant or a campfire. Interacting with such will provide a small amount of experience (You will also get some random items from the merchant's pack and a Max Stamina buff from the campfire, even if it's already lit) and will progress achievements if relevant.

The achievements are not tied to their spawning, similar to how M'aiq's appearance is not tied to his related achievement.
