Companion (Bastian Hallix) completely shuts off during boss fight after rez

I was doing a boss fight and Bastian died, so I rezz'd him for sustained DPS since my character is tanky but not great DPS. (He had died because he kept standing in fire like a moron, but that's not really the bug.)
After rez his combat AI completely shut off and he just stood there staring at the boss like a moron for the rest of the entire fight. He eventually died again and I rezzed him again, with the same result twice more.
Didn't this companion come out like three years ago or something? I saw a similar bug report elsewhere from three years ago but I didn't want to necro it. Please fix this.
