Heavy attacks auto canceling

Does anyone else have issues with heavy attacks canceling? I have noticed on numerous occasions that I will hold the command for heavy attack with the intention of continously attacking, but then my character will suddenly stop after a few heavies and just stand there doing nothing with the command still pressed.

I believe there is an interrupt happening at times from out of nowhere. If you have ever been to Cyrodiil and your riding along then get stopped from nothing, that is happening in the PVE area now. I have been running on the ground and got stopped then seen the circle rotating around me on the ground like I got some kind of effect. Just look the next time to see if you have the rotating circle under you.

Yes this does happen, I don't know why it seems random to me. I just repress the button but it is annoying.

The most annoying part is when I'm trying to use the fast heavy attacks in werewolf form and having to restart with the long heavy attack again. Throws off the whole rhythm.

Yup happens all the time for me to the point where where I get most of my damage from other skills and light attacks and only use heavy attacks to get stamina back or if I need the conal damage from berserker.

I also have the issue where the HA will not start up again when I press the button and have to move or dodge or do something else before the attack will function.

I have this problem too. Also when I charge to then cancel with a skill it cancels the heavy, like as if I never did it, then the skill may or may not fire. If it doesn't fire I get stuck in animation.

Happens with dual wield and with destro.

Yes that too! Just the whole HA thing not really working.

I was wondering if my keyboard button was dying and if i should put the skill on a different key! Glad to see it's not meeeeee

It's not just you! I didn't notice it as much until I started using a heavy attack build. Almost all of my damage on one of my builds is from heavy attacks, so when they don't work, it is very noticeable. Not to mention, when getting cc'd constantly, the window for opportunity is very very small, so missing can mean I'm dead.

I ran into a player running a set that seemed to be breaking mine, I am unsure which set for sure but I think perhaps Tarnished Nightmare or Null Arca. It was rather annoying since they sat at the spawn I was farming, after I got to a different instance it was fine.

Yeah this heavy attack bug is driving me nuts they only work at best 30% of time making it very difficult for me to play as a werewolf.

This heavy attack bug seems to get worse when there is a bigger population on the server. This event has made it even more difficult to use heavy attacks. I have to be laser focused on my character to make sure I'm not just standing there doing nothing. Can we get this fixed?

I've noticed this bug too, before and after U45, but it's worse now.

Yup I agree, makes it quite challenging to do werewolf tanking since taunts are only applies on heavy attacks.

Incessantly. It's been going on for years, essentially since the port of many client-side features to server side for Stadia performance. It seems to get worse every patch.

It's so bad, I genuinely can't believe the community hasn't broken out the torches and pitchforks over it. You can kinda fix it by dodge-rolling--until it happens again three seconds later.

Every time I log in I am hopeful that the issue has been fixed. Every time I am disappointed that it hasn't been. This is affecting everyone.

I played for a total of 30minutes yesterday and had this bug occur no less than 4 times. Please make an effort to fix it.

Should I keep submitting tickets for this problem? It happens every single time that I play. I had it happen 5 times in a 5 minute 1v1. Every time it was when I could have ended the fight. Instead, I have to stand there doing nothing while my opponent heals up to full health.

I only ever get this while using a resto staff (only while on my arcanist for some strange reason), never had the issue with any other weapon for some reason.

I notice it the most when I'm on werewolf. The bug happens every single time I play it.

I didn't see anything mentioned about this bug in the patch notes. Has anyone else with access to PTS been able to tell if it has been fixed or not?

While I agree that this should absolutely be a top-priority, all-hand-on-deck fix and should have been years ago, spam bumping your own thread isn't going to make that happen.

I think a majority of the team was moved to the new IP MMO.

seriously this is getting on my nerves too. All of a sudden the attack stops and you can no longer target what you were targeting. Sometimes I have to roll a couple of times to restart it
