Cyrodiil Changes

Here are some of the changes I would like to see brought to Cyrodiil. Not complete, but a start. I no longer know which ZOS reps should be tagged, so if you can please tag some reps in post comments!

QOL Changes:
1. Auction House brought to each Alliance Base(s) that would include Guild Trader listings from ALL Guilds who currently have Claimed keeps in Cyrodiil.
2. Skill, Attribute, Curse repec stations at each Alliance Base(s) - to prevent having to leave Cyrodiil to make build changes.
4. Siege wheel separated from your standard item wheel. We do not need a "Companion" wheel in Cyrodiil.

Rewards
1. Golden Vendor updates to sell FULL dungeon sets on a random rotating schedule. (Trial and Arena sets excluded) This would help PVP'ers to obtain Dungeon gear by obtaining AP, rather than spending days farming in PVE modes.
2. Would like to see more substantial rewards in RotW like receiving Lancers and better scaling on Transmute Crystals. The current gear sets in the rotation are outdated and should be updated.
3. AP rewards should have multipliers based on contribution added to the base AP rewarded for Dticks and Oticks; assists towards deaths, kills, damage output with siege, healing, revives, etc.

Cyrodiil Map, Alliance Rank, and Guild involvement
1. Guilds should have more involvement/interactions with Cyrodiil Map. For example, if a Guild is labeled with "PVP" focus they should have options in the Ranks of who can modify in Cyrodiil - example - If a keep is taken and claimed by Guild, the Guild Leader (and another Rank(s) selected with privileges) can spend AP at the Siegemaster to upgrade the keep owned for new features, such as:
a.) Focus for Guards at each placement - Outer Door, Outer Wall, Inner Door, Flag Guards - to burn siege, siege with specific weapons (Lancers, CF, Meatbag, etc.), pull groups and bomb, ressurect players.
2. Move Imperial City to base Cyrodiil, rather than seperate instance. IC Zones will now be the basis for Emperor, where to access an IC zone you have to control the corresponding Keep (Old Emp Keeps). IC zones will now circle the middle of Cyrodiil Map and a new Emperor Keep will be in the center.
a.) to access the Emperor Keep, you must controll all IC Zones. When a dethrone is eminent, a notification will get sent to the Current Alliance holding Emperorship allowing you to transit from any (Old Emp Keep) directly to the Emp Keep to defend. Once flagged, you will have to transit from (Old Emp Keep) to IC Zone to Emp Keep.
b.) accessing IC would work similar to Alliance Gates, where they would open once you control the (Old Emp Keep).
3. Alliance Rank should unlock new siege as you rank up from siege vendors, including Lancers and CF.
4. Alliance Rank should also unlock new skill lines that focus on Siege, Damage, Support - Rework old Alliance skill lines to have 1 base skill line (Including the original Skills) and three new skill lines that unlock at a certain Alliance Rank.

i absolutely do not want IC moved back into cyro, it was such a pain to get there before

i like IC, but not when i would have to go halfway through cyro, especially bad when your faction has no keeps to get closer to the entrances

its its own content and makes sense to have its own separate instance that you can just go to

some of the other changes suggested are kind of "maybe" or "OK" like adding respec shrines into cyro, thats fine

the rest of it i dont really see the value of it, what if you cap a keep and your not part of a pvp guild? i predominantly solo in cyro and have solo capped outposts or even keeps if the camp is dead enough

adding an "auction house" to cyro for all guilds with claimed keeps would probably exacerbate performance issues, and well not really be appropriate for this game

i have my main house (grand topal hideaway) listed in the housing tours, it has multiple target dummies, scribing altar, and grandmaster stations (in progress being filled out), as well as almost every antiquity furnishing on display to preview them

its its own content and makes sense to have its own separate instance that you can just go to

This would be for IC districts only. Districts would surround the inner circle of the Map, adjacent to each of the 6 Emp keeps. Once you control one of the 6 Emp keeps, a gate would open (similar to the Alliance Gates to scrolls) allowing access to the districts. Districts would have to be modified slightly from the current form, but would serve as control access points to an Emperor Keep that is needed to be controlled to throne an Emperor/captured to Dethrone.
IC Sewers should still remain as a separate content that could even be changed to PVE only while still allowing AP gains.
the rest of it i dont really see the value of it, what if you cap a keep and your not part of a pvp guild? i predominantly solo in cyro and have solo capped outposts or even keeps if the camp is dead enough

The value is that it would add content and more awareness to the map, rather than just zerging the map when you have Alliance pop over the others.
I solo a lot also, that doesn't mean Guilds shouldn't have more function in an AVA style PVP. All alliances on all platforms complain about low pop map takeovers, or "night crew", etc. Having a way to fundamentally defend your progress while offline at a cost of AP earned seems like value, to me.
You can take a keep/outpost without being in a Guild. You cannot Claim a keep if you are NOT in a guild...so the statement is a bit confusing to me...If a keep is taken and not claimed, any guild can claim it after t he fact.
adding an "auction house" to cyro for all guilds with claimed keeps would probably exacerbate performance issues, and well not really be appropriate for this game

How so? Having access to all of the Guilds in a PVP Zone would allow you to buy mats for potions/food, siege, gear, etc. without having to leave the Cyrodiil zone. Many of us know the frustrations of needing this stuff, leaving Cyrodiil then having to come back to a 100+ Queue.
Not really sure how grouping all of the Guild Traders into one vendor at the gates would "exacerbate" performance...

an "auction house" thing would hurt performance in cyro because of all the data it would have to load

right now guild traders only load 1 guild at a time, and even that can be slow

a single 500 person guild can have a maximum of 15,000 listings

there are 24 keeps/outposts in cyro, which means that this proposed auction house would have to somehow be able to load, display, search through a maximum of 360,000 pieces of data, on top of everything else going on in the zone, we dont even have this capability in any other part of the game right now to load more than 1 guilds worth of listings at a time

to go along with the performance, adding in all the IC surface back into cyro would also hurt performance (part of the reason why IC was split to its own instance anyway was to try to improve cyro performance), i wouldnt want the IC sewers and the IC surface separated from each other as its part of the same content

theres a lot of times i like being in IC but i dont want to be in cyro, and if theres no way to get to the IC surface except through cyro, it would be annoying to try to go back there for crafting tables or vaults as both are located on the surface

and while i play solo, it does not mean im not part of a guild, i can still claim keeps right now just for fun if i want to, even some of which are not pvp focused at all

If the server is capable of loading 100 people running Vicious Death and Tarnished Nightmare complex calculations, I don't see loading multiple traders at a time an issue.
If server capacity is the problem, then I think it's time to address that the problem is the lack of updates over a 10 year span to server performance.
It seems to me like the idea is to move away from large-scale PVP to Arcade style PVP to save some face on not updating a 10 year old + server.

I am not saying you're wrong, I just think it sounds like excuses for why Cyrodiil PVP couldn't have the potential it deserves. Every three months new content is dropped in ESO, except for PVP.
Some say PVP doesn't have enough of a population to deserve content, though this is directly because of people leaving the game simply because of the lack of PVP content. Battlegrounds is not PVP, despite any argument for it - it's simple an Arcade style genre that was never intended for ESO and is the lazy way of fixing PVP.

a lot of the reason new stuff hasnt been added to pvp is mostly because of the performance issues

i dont know exactly what mess the code looks like, but thats one of the reasons we havent gotten new daedric artifacts since volendrung (even though there were at least 2 others planned out)

im pretty sure them even adding destructible milegates also caused additional performance issues

even the minor fix they did on wed broke repair kits and a whole bunch of other nonsense in cyro, and the items in that fix shouldnt have had anything to do with cyro

and apparently cyro does have performance issues running 100 people running VD and tarnished because of the pop caps that some believe are as low as 60 per faction (and the frequent complaints of DCing as soon as you get close to a zerg or ball group)

there is already guild store access from the keeps, but i highly doubt that guilds that are claiming keeps are using those to try to sell much or anything

Well, be that as it may...and it may be different for you (if you're on PC vs Console), but unless you're out there ganking alone...are you really Solo when you're fighting next to 10 other people on your Alliance?

I think Guilds really should have more impact on PVP than just being able to LFG easier with regulars. This doesn't take anything away from playing solo.

Aside from that, I've received a lot of positive feedback in-game regarding Cyrodiil/IC ideas proposed. Even if it's not merging IC with Cyro, a similar concept could add some helpful impact on Cyro population by adding a new centralized Emp Keep.

The performance issue...[snip] If you play regularly in Cyrodiil every day of the week, and then compare it to Midyear Mayhem, you do see a higher capacity of players with better server performance because they actually dedicate more server performance to Cyrodiil for these kinds of events. Why not do this permanently?

its been several years but i have taken keeps solo (i was bored and in very dead camps still active post midyear mayhem)

and yes i still consider myself solo even if there are other players because im not grouped with them or organized with them in any way outside of "they are an ally and not trying to kill me"

as i said i dont know what kind of code zos is working with, underlying problems in cyro might be fixable by just throwing more tech at it at this point

i wouldnt necessarily be opposed to some kind of change in cyro to make the map more dynamic or other objectives besides volendrung or the scrolls, i just dont really see anything major happening anytime soon

    they have this functionality already:
Skill, Attribute, Curse repec stations at each Alliance Base(s) - to prevent having to leave Cyrodiil to make build changes.

    It's the armoury station

Auction house idea will be terrible for population lock and performance. Auction houses don't belong in PVP zones and should be kept far from them. I would go further and remove all crafting stations as well.

Those activities belong in other zones.

A bank and an armory station is all you should need outside of vendors.

Whatever zos does, if they ever decide to make any adjustments to cyro or IC i really hope they engage players, publicly, privately, as a whole, individually with or without ndas or whatever before they actually start down a path of no return. We all see what happened to bgs...

This is literally not even close to the same thing...Armory station means that you have to PRE-spec before going in to Cyrodiil, which is fine. The issue is you cannot RE-spec without leaving Cyrodiil.

Also, Armory Station only gives two build slots. Not everyone spends $15 for each armory slot...let alone on multiple characters. We don't all thirst the "ESO life"

If you leave one armoury slot 'empty' then this will be a complete respec of all aspects of your character outside of scribing.
No need to spend a single crown.
