Bare Bones Puppet Achievement

Which bosses or skull will drop the Skeletal Marionette Parts? I'm not figuring out how to complete Bare Bones Puppet Achievement. Looks like we need 10 of this things, but I already completed everything, I collected hundreds of Plunder Skulls including all 10 Dremora Pluder Skulls every day and I never saw one single Skeletal Marionette Parts. I need help with this one. I'm not understanding how it drops.

The only mention of the Skeletal Marionette that I see in the event announcement is in reference to the Witches Grab Bag, and it lists "Skeletal Marionette memento." In contrast, it lists "Throw Bones memento fragment" for that memento. I don't know if the first one is just a typo or an oversight.

Yeah, if it turns out that the grab bag does indeed drop the entire memento as the wording in the announcement seems to say (which would be pretty weird if it did), then opening the Runebox or whatever it is you can get from the grab bag should IMO immediately grant you that achievement as well.

it's currently only available from the Witches Grab Bags.

it's possible some people still have spare fragments which they might list in guild stores, though unlikely

You can buy Witches Grab Bags from the Impresario. I think they're 2 tickets apiece, but I'm not sure.

Edit: Note that all of the house and pet fragments are going to be available again in the remaining events of this year, so if you really want that achievement you should probably spend your tickets on the grab bags and wait until later to get the house and pet fragments.

I've been spending all my tickets on Witches Grab Bags from Merchant and I'm only receiving a lot of useless stuff, like hats, mementos, emotes, fragments... but never the achievement. Something isn't right, we should be able to complete achievements by playing and not by buying it. I think I already spent about 16 tickets and got no achievement.

theres been a ton of rewards for the witches festival, and many of these older items have been moved to the grab bags (including stuff for these achievements)

i dont necessarily think the fragments should have been moved to the grab bag, we need more useless stuff like the older styles (glenmoril wyrd at least) to be moved to the grab bag

even at 2 tickets each, you would have to get 20 tickets worth of bags minimum to get enough marionette parts to finish the achievement, or like in your case even more tickets due to missing other old collectibles

i dont know if i have any skeletal marionette parts left, but i do usually try to stockpile event items to either give to people or sell "off season" (im on PC NA)

Thanks for the tips and the help offer, but I'm on PC EU. I see that it'll be too risky to try to get the achievement from the Merchant. I'm going to try to get the fragments from guild stores or I'll risk losing the Haven of the Five Companions.

the way ive usually done things is i prioritize any "new" collectibles to get, and then if i have extra tickets after getting what i want i will do the grab bags if i still happen to need anything from them (i been around a long time since before the holiday events existed so i have over 90% of the collectible items from events)

skeletal marrionnette parts are going to be fairly rare and expensive at this point most likely as they have been in the grab bag for at least 2 years
