You could argue that chapter-exclusive gear or systems give cash players an unfair advantage. Scribing in PvP right now, Antiquities when it first released, etc, but the Crown Store can be safely ignored.

This is why a subscription should be required.

With performance being what it is now what do you think would happen if ESO went sub to play?

Several people I know just would stop playing, that’s for sure.

    Honestly I would love that.

Massively reduce the price of all the DLCs but require each and every player to pay a monthly fee to play.

Actually I'm curious, which version of the game are you downloading?

Is it the most recent Gold Road deluxe edition or an older version?

That could potentially alter what in the Crown Store might be useful to you. 🙂

At current rates, the edition might change before they're done.

    Base game. 19.99 dollars.

I'll just get ESO+ and slowly buy chapters or whatever.

Ok so then the most obvious things you may be missing will be Warden, Necromancer and Arcanist classes.

Some will argue not haviing access to Arcanist will hinder harder content access but going by your description of how you plan to play, I think that will not affect you, at least not to start with.

Btw each of those classes costs 1500 Crowns in the store iirc. <3

Not relevent to the subject of the thread or what I was replying to. We could spend a lot of time discussing the hypotheticals of how things would be if players were always forced to pay a sub to play the game in both effort Zenimax put into making it perform well and the quality of play overall, but that is not the way it is and if a player wants access to the new features they will have to pay for obvious reasons.

There is always only one chapter to buy, the most recent one. It becomes a DLC when the next chapter comes out which makes it accessible with ESO+. Some features are separated from it and get added to the crown store but most of it stays with the DLC.
