This may just be for the Grand Master Crafting Stations and if this has already been brought up, forgive me I did not see this during my search for it on the forums or Google.

Why do the Amulet and Rings swap positions when going from non-set to set? When you open the station the non-set ring is first. When you make your selections and then choose a set to craft, the station swaps to Amulets. I'm not saying that I crafted 2 Amulets and then perfected them to gold. I wouldn't do that. I mean I would obviously catch myself before I made so obvious an error. It would never happen to me. But just out of curiosity, why does the station do that?

This is absolutely correct and it's a very annoying behavior. It's not restricted to the grand master stations, happens with individual stations as well.

And they swap positions within the station depending on whether you're on the creation tab or on the research tab. Very annoying and I've lost count of the times when I've made a piece for an alt to research, only to find out that I made the wrong thing (fortunately never with an expensive trait mat where you only get back a grain for deconning). Pick a position and stick with it.
I'm fresh out of outrage, but I could muster up some amused annoyance if required.
