Frustrated with ESO Support: No Help Linking Accounts, Pushed to Play Diablo 4

What a disappointment... Support can't even link my Steam account with my ESO account.

I contacted them for help linking the accounts. I even bought a new ESO account to test GeForce Now and tried linking them, but it didn't work. So, I ended up buying Diablo 4 as well. [snip] I'm serious... I'm really disappointed with the game and the support. [snip]

    ok :)
    In the meantime, my Diablo 4 hype is growing! 4 days playing Diablo, 0 days playing ESO. Seems fair enough!

    6 days without support because: "...the queue you are now in is with a smaller, more specialized team that will be able to work with you more on recovering your account. Because this is a smaller team, you may need to wait a bit longer than a normal ticket, but rest assured that they will get back to you as soon as possible."

    So far, it has taken 6 days just to link my Steam account with my ESO account. ;)

    :clap::clap::clap: good job

    Just in case anyone is waiting for an update here... well, nope! After 7 days, still no support to link both accounts!
    :clap::clap::clap: :)

    edit:
    In the meantime, my Diablo account has reached Lv. 61, and I'm starting Act 3 of the story. 7 days of Diablo, 0 days in ESO.

    Well hey they did provide some response, you know with the whole attacking/editing your forum comment part. Have fun on Diablo! It’s constantly improving with all the work put into it. A lot of my ESO friends/guildies play D4 with me and I feel the game will continue to improve every patch.

    One thing I’ll say about ESO Support is that it’s very much “hit or miss”. You can get lucky, or you can get very unlucky with whether the Support Rep will attempt to help or not. In this case it sounds like they’ve pretty much ignored you at this point lol.

    I bought the game, ZoS received the money. Everything is working fine and as expected. pay-to-not-play the way I want!

    But in 2 days, I have to renew ESO Plus, and then I'll probably buy platinum.

    Ah, look what I just found! In Diablo 4, we have a Necromancer class too. And guess what? No one attacks us for helping them! They ask for our help, they know we’re Necromancers, and they let us assist and play the game. Same class, two different games! In one, you can play without being attacked for helping, and in the other, even if you're the one they ask for help... you’ll be attacked. lol!

    By the way, 8 days and still no support!

    Any news, @ZOS_CouchTato , @ZOS_Kraken ?

    It’s been 10 days, and I still can’t access the game I paid for. All I've gotten from support so far is complete silence.

    Let me be clear: I have no plans to return to ESO anytime soon. When I was playing, I didn’t care about Crown Crates or the monetization. But now, it feels wrong that the company sells a game, blocks access to it, and then fails to respond to support requests. It’s like saying, "Give me your money," and offering nothing in return.

    To be honest, I have no intention of coming back to this game. My ESO+ subscription has ended, and I have no plans to renew it. I'll stick with D4, just like I told you and like you kindly "pushed" me to do. The boring part is done, so... it's all good now.

    But, Is the company really going to take my money that easily?

    Good news! ESO and D4 are both Microsoft products, so they still get your money/attention regardless of which game you play.

    Why should Microsoft or any other companies be involved with the poor support issues happening in ESO? Why should anyone other than ZeniMax be compared to this problem in ESO?

    Both the money goes to Microsoft and everything seems fine, but right now, I can confidently say that ZeniMax is the only one selling games and then not allowing players to play them, all while support says absolutely nothing about the problem.

    My account was not banned. I simply can’t link my Steam and ESO accounts, which is necessary to play the game.

    @abkam As mentioned in my previous message to you, the ticket in question has been moved to a smaller, more specialized team to assist as they need to complete verification of your account. This cannot be moved between queues. Please keep in mind that multiple replies to a ticket while it is waiting on an agent response will put the ticket back into the beginning of the queue resulting in longer wait times. We understand that the wait can be frustrating, however this is necessary to ensure account safety and a better resolution of your issue.

    The last update from support was on Sunday, October 13, 2024, at 6:53 PM. My last reply to the ticket was on October 18, 2024, with: "I'm still waiting." Okay, I won't say anything more, even though the ticket says: "We will assume your issue has been resolved if we do not hear from you within 96 hours (4 days).
    It's been 5 days since my reply, and there’s still no answer from support. In fact, support hasn't said anything since Sunday, October 13, 2024, at 6:53 PM.

    @abkam That message only applies if the ticket is awaiting a response from you, not the agent. The ticket will remain active even after four days while awaiting an agent.

    After almost 30 days, both accounts were finally linked.

    • But, when I asked to link my new ESO account with my Steam account, I understood that I would lose the ability to gift, since my main account was already linked with Steam. And I can live with that.

    Could you help me understand why you disabled the gift feature on my wife's account? Her account has absolutely nothing to do with my main account, my new ESO account, or my Steam account, it was entirely her own account.

    Disabling the gift feature on my wife's account was the best thing you did... I just offered her a new Diablo 4 account too.
