For daily craft writs, it should be identical no matter the location.

There's a range of provisions that rotate through the provision writs. Check some of the bigger websites for a list. You can pre-make them in bulk and then just draw on them from your bank, to satisfy the writs.

Similarly for alchemy.

These will both change as your character levels up to 50.

Maybe that's where the confusion is.

What I noticed a few years ago when I was doing daily writs on all of my characters and some of them were in different zones was that the Provisioning writs in Vulkhel Guard, Auridon were calling for something that the other zones were not-- I think it was one of those recipes with Bananas in the name. This was on the lower level Provisioning writs. I don't remember if there were any other zones that were adking for different foid and drink, but it might be possible to figure out which ones had some different writs than the others based on which recipes are for sale from the local provisioners.

Some of the daily writs, mainly provisioning will differ depending on which alliance the character is.

The first 3 levels of Provisioning Writs vary by your character's alliance. I am guessing in your instance it was a low-level AD character in Vulkhel Guard but was tied to being an AD character, not tied to the town of Vulkhel Guard. They could have taken a boat/cart/wayshrine anywhere and still need to make Banana Surprise.
