No Gold Road discount yet

Expansion event was set to start at 10am EDT, but no 50% discount (usual for these events) on Gold Road packs, nor article in official website about the sale. Is there an usual time for theses to happen?

They haven't even posted anything official on the ESO website. I'd recommend just to be patient, as much as that sucks.

My assumption is that IF there will be a discount attached to Gold Road and the event, it will be active when they make an official post about it. The wheels of industry work slowly, especially at ZoS. I'm sure they're doing the best they can with the minimal staff they have.

There's been trouble with announcement and discount delays at earlier expansion events, when the events went live.
But it's usually been followed up in a couple of hours. Just checked eso store, and there is no discount on either steam or esos store.
@ZOS_Kevin @ZOS_Icy or anyone zos, is this intentional? Is there no discount this year? If there is when is it?

Wait if it's just 50 % discount is that the norm from the other years?
I was thinking it was going to be more, but I don't remember what it usually has been at this point in the year.
I'm not getting it if it's only 50%, I haven't liked the direction of the game, and the pointless 14 day guild timers was just the very last straw for me, so I unsubbed. Was considering still getting west weald now, but I remembered (perhaps wrong), that discount were 60-70% at this time of year (I thought it'd be 2/3, or 67%).

It is usually 50% at this time of year and 67% at Halloween and Christmas.
As I recall, the discounts were late starting last year as well.

Last 3 years at least was 50% off (Necrom, High Isle and Blackwood). Discounts higher than 50% start at later date in the year (Black Sale, during New Life Festival).

Discounts were already up earlier in PSN & Xbox, but only for the Deluxe Collection editions and Base Game.

i'm not sure
if I want the discount to run like all the years before, I will buy it and start playing a new chapter now,
or they won't make it cheaper this time and help me decide to stop buying new content.

I think about stopping every time they try to wipe the floor with the players with some trick, like cutting content from DLC and make it paid. But I was too weak so far. This could help me get free finaly.

I won't hold my breath waiting for the discount to launch then. I'll sadly just skip the event this year. The community rewards don't seem that great to me anyway (I don't like the mounts style at all).

If only the most expensive edition has the discount in this year's event, I'll skip too.

Gold Road is too expensive (specially in my country) for the low amount of content it brought (not even companions will be a part of it), if the basic upgrade version isn't at 50% discount during the event, I'll gladly wait for a larger discount at later date, or straight out wait it to become part of ESO Plus.

It's easy for me to skip the DLC this year, no matter how much they reduce the price. Numerous new games will be released in October, there are 2-3 that appeal to me much more than Gold Road. Also the rewards for the event are meh for me.

Well Summerset was great too. I bought the physical collectors edition. It's still one of my absolute favorite zones in the game, although I lamented all the inaccessible territory/mountains.
It was the last expansion I bought at full price, since then it's been when it went on sale.

Saw some people speculating the prices will be updated (and article released) around 1pm EDT/10am PDT, when Steam update prices.

Curious, I just got a promotion email saying it's on sale, but when I followed the link it wasn't discounted at all.

on xbox the cheapest is the deluxe upgrade for 27 Euro.

As I play 2 accounts, I will skip, as I am willing to pay not more than 20 bucks per account. I do not need the deluxe stuff, so do not accept to pay for it more than I am willing to pay.

I think at winter sale it might go down to 20 Euro, otherwise I will get it when the next chapter is released.

Apparently sales on Steam always start at 10am Pacific Time. My guess is ZOS thought it would be simplest/least confusing to have all the sales on PC platforms start at that time.
