Proper Steam intergration for Patching

The recent Steam Deck playable status is a nice start, but would it be possible to intergrat the patching into Steam so you update via Steam not the launcher, this would make the experience playing on Steam Deck a whole lot better as you could use local game transfer to update you game on the Deck and not have to download updates twice.
