Noteworthy DLC dungeon TANK sets

DrakeRyuujin
Hello guys, I've been target farming all the healer sets since the event has begun, and am almost finishing it, I'd like to know if a main tank could list meta DLC dungeon sets (excluding trials)

    Turning Tide (Shipwright's Regret)
    Crimson Oath's Rive (Dread Cellar)

Those are some of the biggest ones that see general use, paired with some of the trial sets.

Other dungeon ones can be a bit situational, but include
    Bani's (Icereach)
    Drake's Rush (Black Drake Villa)
    Rush of Agony (Dread Cellar)

I would throw out there as well Leeching Plate and the Crimson set from Castle Thorn. Both of those sets are survivability sets, but have their place for niche situations.

To add to the others, Brands of Imperium out of White Gold Tower is a decent tanking set for a beginner tank. Grave Guardian out of Unhallowed Grave is similar, but I think Imperium is better. Arkasis out of Stone Garden is good on an ultimate-generating build.

Mighty Glacier out of Frostvault is one of my favorite dungeon tanks. Its an underrated set, especially on a Warden tank using Gripping Shards.

Sets have already been covered well by the posts above. I'd also add good tanking monster helms to go for (and shoulders with those curated keys now) are Nazaray (from Shipwright's Regret, like where Turning Tide drops), Archdruid Deyvric (Earthern Root Enclave), Tremorscale (Volenfell), and Stonekeeper (Frostvault).
PS5 NA. GM of The PTK's - a free trading guild (CP 500+). Also a werewolf, bites are free when they're available. PSN = DragonRacer13

Just to second/third other comments, Turning Tide and Crimson Oath are the must have 5 piece sets for tanks. Archdruid Deyvric and Tremorscale are the must have monster sets. Nazaray is also very good. Magma Incarnate head armor pieces are also the common combination with Spaulder of Ruin shoulder mythic for the one piece bonus. You might already have these last 2 monster helms if you farmed healer gear.

I would not bother with Bani's Torment at all, Major Maim is easily sourced from skills nowadays. Similarly would not bother with Grave Guardian, it encourages a bad playstyle and you can obtain a near similar buff from the Lord Warden monster helm (2 piece instead of 5).

I will admit I have not actually tried this one but if you want to wear a monster helm for sustain, Engine Guardian or Roksa the Warped should be better than Stonekeeper. They provide constant resources as opposed to a single burst every 15 seconds.

To a lesser extent Drake's Rush is also not very good since Major Heroism is easily sourced (for yourself) if you have scribing. Still some group utility but typically it's the expensive support ultimates that need the most help. A better ulti gen set to get is Arkasis from Stone Garden since that is a unique source of ultimate.

For monster sets, I only have a few that I use across my 3 tanks:

    1. Tremorscale (for extra pen)
    2. Malubeth's (for extra survivability IF I need it)
    3. Earthgore (for my offtank in 1 tank 3 dps comps)
    4. Magma Incarnate (for my offtank in 3 dps groups)
    5. Engine Guardian/Stonekeeper (extra sustain)

I basically run Tremorscale 90% of the time though because my setup grants around 15.5k-16.5k penetration for the group meaning they can basically ignore the penetration stat for their builds and still maximize group damage.

Yeah Tremorscale is easily the most common monster set for tanks, and it drops from an easy base game dungeon, 10/10
