Nerf to cloak in PTS

This proposed nerf to cloak is unfortunate. Taking away from the class identity of night blades. Blades that are built for damage are squishy by design. Tanky blades generally do not have the damage. Cloak helps to mitigate that damage. Class being ruined.

Tanky blades definitely have enough damage in PVP...more than any other class also built tanky.
Put a Templar and a NB in the exact same gear and the NB will still do more damage than a Templar.

Nah, this nerf is well deserved. Put any class in the exact same gear as Nb, NB will have more damage. Like the comment above me said.

This nerf will only hurt those who crutch off perma stealth, which it should. The class is far overtuned compared to most other classes. Cloak is the best form of mitigation in the entire game. It needs to have drawbacks.

Tested and its fine. About the only thing I wouldnt do anymore is spam it in anticipation of being popped out or basically a mag dodge that doesn't have ramping cost

Agreed. It's a mole-hill sized mountain. For people that strategically cloak it won't harm and thing and might even be a buff. For terrible nightblades like myself it just means we can't stand in the backline at a keep with 18k hp and feel completely safe when we pop out of stealth and zap someone to death before disappearing with completely impunity.

And as for the tanky nightblade thing... says who? I've refined my nightblade a good bit so that it can perma-block a group of people all day long but if anyone is foolish enough to turn their back on me thinking I can't hurt them they will get ganked in plain sight!

Nightblades have incredible tankiness right now and insane damage. I'm not sure if you've been playing in high MMR battlegrounds.

"Tanky blades generally do not have the damage" is the biggest misconception about nightblades.

Nightblades have 2 of the best heals in the game (Offering and Path), nearly infinite sustain (Siphoning, Path, and Debilitate), and built in Minor+Major Expedition. They are the only class with not 1, but 2 great escape tools (Shade and Cloak), and have an ability that gives them a free dodge roll every 5-10 seconds AND Major Evasion AND a snare/root immunity. OH and on top of all of that, they can apply Major AND Minor Cowardice to reduce the enemies damage AND healing.

Thanks to those things, they are the only class besides Sorc that can wear three damage stat sets and still be hard to kill.

Order's Wrath, Balorgh, Rallying Cry, 1pc Trainee, and Dov Rha (or Markyn if you can't keep Dov Rha up) will give you enough damage to 2-tap most players, while also giving you anywhere from 25k-33k resist, ~2k crit resist, and incredible crit healing. All while wearing 5 medium, no proc sets, on a melee build.

    Plenty tanky, plenty damage.

It is currently mag dodge... Now that it's a toggle? It's a clunky mag dodge I guess?

It front loads a tick of mag cost so while you reactivate it, you essentially double the cost by hitting it every GCD while also missing the recovery tic, so mag drains fast if you spam it. In theory it seems like if you had like 1300 mag recovery or less, you wouldn't notice, but it does seem to drain faster
