So we're getting Kthendral Mines, a nice big Dwemer ruin home, but they built it in such a way that we have no assets to work the inside. We literally don't have a single wall, platform, or stairway that matches the style. The house is extremely dark on the inside, the gray walls and black floors are reminiscent of Ebonheart Chateau, with it's equally unappealing drab and depressing insides. People have spent millions of gold, and hundreds of hours, collecting Dwemer furnishing plans, and none of them work in this house. Are the people who designed this house even aware that this style exists?
Fooling around with it on test I thought maybe I could reskin the floor at least but they don't make that easy at all. In some houses you can slide platforms in so that decorative brass/tile work shows through the platform. Uneven floor textures and brass work mean you can get strange flickering clipping one spot, but not in another, or brass work comes through in one area but not in another. It's as if they thought "Those housing folks won't want to reskin anything in here with existing assets we've given them, we don't need to worry about the level of things on the floor."
Just a head shakingly weird decisions here.
I'm still experimenting with it on test, maybe I'll find a set up I like. As it is now it's just a very dark, unappealing mess, with some nice glowy crystals.
