Does group finder ever find replacements?

For some reason every random dungeon at least one person leaves right away, we'll hit "Find Replacement" and it just never finds anyone, even if it's a DPS.

Honestly why even queue and accept the ready check just to leave the second you enter?

most people do it because they are looking for a fast dungeon, and they think that based on the current team and the selected dungeon it would take longer than the 15 min cooldown to queue into another dungeon (or they just immediately change characters to bypass the penalty)

i have seen the find replacement work, but it does seem janky, sometimes can usually nearly complete the dungeon before it backfills

i think the thing is it is only looking for solo players if you have 1 spot open, theres a lot of people that group up before queuing to intentionally get a low lvl dungeon, or because it makes a dps queue faster (a tank + dps is still significantly faster queue than solo dps for instance)

I've seen it work, but that was ages ago, most likely months. Since, idk, five months or so I've never gotten a replacement. People leave, and the rest either disbanded or does the dungeon alone.
Today alone I've had three, maybe even four dungeons where someone left, and never found someone else, even though the game tells me that's is looking. I get that it's hard to get tanks, maybe even healers, but a random DD? Mhm.

It does work to find a replacement player sometimes, although not very often it seems. Asking in guild or off friends list works a heck of a lot better though.

Sometimes; less often then you'd like it too, but it does sometimes.

We did replace a healer the other day but we didn't get them until the final boss and it was Fang Lair during the Undaunted event. On the bright side, they were much better than the one who quit.

If you lose the tank, it might take a while.

A couple of times we got a replacement tank at the last boss.

I do think it's a bit janky thought, because we lost a DPS in WGT yesterday and never got a replacement.

When someone leaves I have rarely if ever gotten a replacement player regardless of role. And with the event going on I would expect more people to be available to fill the empty slot. 😕

A DPS was replaced in my wayrest 2 group. We did kill the first three bosses before it filled it though.

When it actually queues again successfully, I get refills about 40% of the time. I have more of an issue with it saying group is filled after someone leaves.

It does work, but it takes it sweet time doing so.

They recently fixed a bug with BG backfill queues so maybe there's some similar code in the dungeon queues.
