This is the official feedback thread for the ESO Plus Bonus and Skill Line Progression. Specifically, the focus is on testing bonus AP and Tel Var Stone gain. Specific feedback that the team is looking for includes the following:
  • Verify this shows in the Advanced Stats tab that ESO bonuses are active
  • ESO Plus has been reworked on backend, so we should verify that all other ESO bonuses are active.
  • Do you have any other general feedback?

Not really feedback, more an honest question.

Given that we, the players lack the baseline numbers/data for EXP/Telvar/AP rewards, thus we can't do the maths comapred to what we get to establish if the bonus is working.
We also lack the ability to toggle our ESO+ on/off in a timely manner, thus leaving us unable to establish the baseline numbers ourselves, well how...exactly are we meant to test this?

I agree that this will be hard to test - especially for me, with no PTS. If you're inclined to try, here are some numbers and my notes from console. Probably some details wrong because I can't use add-ons to confirm, but I would love to be corrected if someone has better info:

Tel Var drops in multiples of 4, split between whoever helped with the kill. Blade of Woe one legion zero NPC in the districts and you'll get 4 Tel Var. Kill a boss with other players, you'll split the total value of the boss evenly. Heal players who are killing a boss, you should still get credit - unclear whether you have to do a certain % of the healing but I do know that it works.

Harder enemies give more base tel var. Frost Atro seemed to be 12, maybe Xivkyn/Daedroth were more? Would have to test again.

You get a 33% bonus for each district you control. So, if your alliance owns two districts, that same NPC will give you 4 * 1.66 = 6.64. Own all the districts, 4 * 2.98 = 11.92. Seems like those values all get rounded up?

You also get the multipliers for carrying Tel Var, and that seems to be multiplicative with the district bonuses. So if you have 100 Tel Var (2x multiplier) one legion zero kill should be 8 Tel Var. If you have 100 Tel Var and control 6 districts, 4 * 2.98 * 2 = 23.84.

Theoretically, easiest way to test is with bigger numbers - come in with 10k tel var in your pocket (for 4x multiplier) control all six districts. Without interacting with another player, murder an NPC. On console, live, that appears to be 48 Tel Var. With the ESO+ bonus on PTS hopefully that's 52 Tel Var...?

AP (from Cyrodiil) is harder to puzzle out due to the multipliers for how much of the map your alliance controls... plus if you try to do it based on kills, the AP from a kill changes based on the rank of the player and the time since they last died. Ugly. It's theoretically possible to hop into IC and take all six districts quickly to help with math, it's harder to take a specific set of keeps in Cyrodiil or kill a specific player on live & PTS to compare the differences.

Curious to hear what people find if anyone does try to confirm details.

I believe you could test by doing an action on live where the bonus doesn't apply and then do it on the PTS where it does provided no other bonuses are kicking in.

I can't give numbers for the smaller mobs, but the (on live) base tel var award is 1200 tel var for a patrolling horror (top boss), 600 for a coldharbour elite, and 100 for the sewers stationary bosses. That's multiplied by your multiplier (the one based on how much you're carrying) and a district multiplier for top bosses if applicable, then split among multiple players if they qualify.
So if you solo a top boss at just over 1k tel var on you (3x), you earn 3600.

In theory yes, but in pratice the PTS has a reputation for numbers being more than a little funky between it vs live despite the % effects as a result of those numbers being the same, the most commonly known example is the effects of buff food.
