I watched the Stream and I didnt see they talked about this?

I just learned about it today when watching a YT video from NefasQS and I got pretty excited for this new system.

A Brand new activity and reward system, complete challanges to earn rewards, sounds like an battlepass like feature which I think can be a really Nice addition to Eso.

U43 really good updates to Infinite Archive and U44 a new activity and reward system, Zos are really doing great on updates recently!

Idk, sounds like more FOMO instead of attaching meaningful static/seasonal rewards to meaningful challenges.

FOMO is something you as a player are telling yourself, if you dont want to do something in a game just dont do it, its pretty simple.

Example, I know Daily crafting writs are really profitable but I dont do them if I have other things to do in the game and I still sleep well at night because its a game, people should try it.

I think this new system sounds very interesting.

Who knows, maybe in the end it will help against FOMO, if it's getting more and more obvious that it's just not possible to get everything, because it's too much...

That said: Do I understand it right that this reward system usually means you have to do different things from a list to get one reward? Is there a way to choose from the list? Because if the "to do list" always includes very different aspects of the game, I can basically forget about it anyway since I don't play all systems of the game (I personally don't PvP, do trials or play the card game; and some people who mainly PvP will probably not be happy either if the "to do list" also includes questing and housing or so).

The only thing it does to me personally is making me disengage with the game more and more with every new such addition, because if you're collector type of player you've been exploited that way and that's not my cup of tea no matter how big of a tes nerd I am, or was. Those tactics aren't made for players, those are made for developers to minmax their profits. Glad you're one who's enjoying this but quite a few folks see it as an "artificial" activities more of instead of actual new content or meaningful reward system for existing one.

Tldr exploiting FOMO isn't consumer friendly practice to say the least.

It feels like this is another of ZOS' weird takes about what players meant with wishing "to have more to do"...

I'm wondering if we can already test it on pts on Monday since it's coming sometime after u44 - would be nice to see how they plan to implement it

What do people want to do more in Eso?

Edit: Thats not FOMO or requires you to do anything?

The reply to that probably varies from person to person. But looking at the disappointment, random repeatable tasks that add no new content don't seem to be it. I see we probably have to be very precise with our wishes...

I don't suffer from FOMO. But other people seem to see it as this, if I look at this thread. There are people who want all or most collectibles that can be achieved through playing, as well as all achievements, titles, etc.

I've personally stopped caring about this long time ago. The only thing I find rather frustrating is when there's some special item I specifically want for one of my characters for roleplay-reasons, but then it's impossible to get. Don't ask me how many hours I wasted through the anniversary event for some of the style pages... I think it was about 10 hours for Sunna'rah, Sotha Sils staff?! But at least I got that one. Wanted Mannimarco's staff for one of my necromancer characters, too, farmed for over 13 hours and didn't get it. Then the event was over.
