ZOS, the new BG scoreboards need to count shielding and pet damage/healing...

According to the stream today, MMR/Leaderboard ranking will still be tied to the scoreboard medal score.

ZOS, this means that shielder supports and Necromancers will be at a severe disadvantage climbing the leaderboards. Shielding done, Pet Damage, and Pet Healing DOES NOT COUNT FOR ANYTHING ON THE SCOREBOARD.

I have a Necromancer shielder build. I can keep teams alive as well as any dedicated healer, but will finish matches with <100k scoreboard healing and damage, despite shielding for over 3 million damage and healing for over 500k healing with Intensive Mender (according to CMX addon/ESOLogs).

On a traditional Necro healer, Intensive Mender accounts for 700k-1M healing done, and does not appear on the scoreboard, nor does it grant you medal score.

On a Necro DPS build, Blastbones accounts for 50% or more of your damage, and does not appear on the scoreboard, nor does it grant you medal score.

If Battlegrounds scoreboards are not changed to include Pets and Shields, Necromancers and Arcanist/Shielder supports will have a much harder time climbing the leaderboard.

They just have to redo the rankings. A player with 1000 games where all of the were lost can not be better than another one with 100 games and won 90, right?

With the size of maps, it's going to be pretty hard to have as high of a medal score without winning as it is currently. The objective modes will be much more balanced, and gaining medal score should, in theory, correspond a lot more with your actual performance/win/loss.

But then they have to also add damage taken/mitigated. A guard CC tank debuffer could be super helpful and bring no medals at all.

Tbh in a 4v4 setting a guard tank that doesn't shield or do any healing wouldn't be that helpful anyways.

I am not sure but with vanguard set, 35% damage reduction is massive and 35% is easily mitigated with perma blocking. A few months ago there were a troller with that set that made all games very slow. As you know every BG is a DM game, right but with that set the damage reduction it was so noticeable and nobody is wasting there time on the tank.

The Critical Heal badge needs to change if medal score is related to MMR. Healers can cheese 15-20k+ points in Team DM.

It will be nice if they add a new screen with more stats like damage taken, damage mitigated, shielded damage, self healing, and so on.

The whole idea of having the MMR tied to the medals is "not smart", if its even close to how it is now you can cheese medals verry easy.
Also again getting high in ranking is not tied to being good, but to play alot....that's the worst possible MMR.

There needs to be a system where you loose and gain MMR by being a good or bad player, i know this is hard to measure, but medals are the worst possible way !!!

This is why the idea is dead on arrival. The toxic behavior this is going to encourage is going to be astronomical. Hard core PVP never goes well in an RPG.

Never should have been a leader board or any competitive advancement. Should just created a personal achievement ladder or season pass players could advance through via multiple pvp activities and roles for rewards. It will be dead within a few months once all the troll tactics people invent run everyone out of the mode.

Any word on this? There are some huge concerns about tying leaderboard rank to medal score. If the leaderboard is cumulative medal score as it is on live, it won't really translate to skill/success, and will just amount to # of games played.

If the scoreboards continue to not count Shielding, Pet Damage, and Pet Healing, then Necros and shielder builds will have no shot at climbing the leaderboards.

This would be really nice even aside from leaderboards. Would love to see the real numbers of what everyone did in a BG

It's always bothered me that healing others grants you no assist for kills.
