If elderscrolls were to add in any new weapons skill lines, what should it be?

I can't edit poll options. Oops. So anyways to clear things up, it meant to say underwater combat abilities and along with unarmed combat skill line.
Unarmed combat will include martial arts abilities.
Underwater combat will have its own series of abilities based on the current weapon equipped (similar to what guild wars 2 has).

I thought I posted this in combat and character mechanics. I just realized I posted this in the wrong spot. Sorry.

I think unarmed and throwing weapons would be good. The closer you get to Morrowind, the better.

I get that spear would be nice but it's the only cool thing templars have (or HAD, since the unneeded changes to jabs). As a necro, it feels bad to have things that were supposed to be yours given to actually good classes (major vuln)

i think throwing weapons, or unarmed combat would probably be easier for them to implement because those dont necessarily need new actual weapons

throwing weapons could just materialize, like shrouded daggers, so it could be its own weapon skill line that could be used alongside any other weapon

unarmed would only work if you had no weapon equipped

other ones would take a lot more work as they would have to make new graphics, animations, etc along with us having to research all the traits for the newly added weapon

other options in the list like underwater combat are basically not possible with the current game engine (the closest we have are the pseudo underwater sections like graven deep and part of the west weald/necrom story quests, but in both of those you are not actually swimming)

i have my main house (grand topal hideaway) listed in the housing tours, it has multiple target dummies, scribing altar, and grandmaster stations (in progress being filled out), as well as almost every antiquity furnishing on display to preview them

feel free to stop by and use the facilities

    Polearms/spears for sure.

    Unarmed would be interesting.

Definitely no to underwater combat. I hated the water combat in GW2. It's unnecessary complexity that added nothing meaningful.

    This!

Would be super easy to implement too, since they could have the main hand be the magic and the off hand be existing 1h weapon or shield (removing the need to add a new weapon to the hundreds of weapon styles that already exist).

The passives grant bonuses based on the equipped weapon (shield gives defensive bonuses, sword, dagger, axe, mace give their respective offensive bonuses)

It seemed like hybridization was headed there.

Maybe as much as I'd like that, I'd also like unarmed combat.

My idea is that we'd have cuffs or bracelets in our weapon slots that can be hidden by our outfit style. We already have a lot of good animations in the bosses.

None of the above :( I just want 1h weapons! Maybe 1h + focus (hopefully it's small and inconspicuous)

Edit: nvm, they all sound great. I just want 1h the most lmao
